I will acknowledge that all atheists lack a belief that a GOD or gods exist.

But not everybody who lacks that belief is, perforce, an atheist.

One has to choose to use the descriptor atheist to be an atheist...and the only people who seem to do that are people who are believers. They believe there are no gods...or believe it is much more likely that there are no gods than that there is at least one.

I certainly do not fit into that category...and I most assuredly have never chosen to apply the descriptor atheist to myself.

I do recognize how much you good folk want me to be in your number, but I must politely decline. I hope the disappointment is not too much.

Since he really plays no part in my daily life I don't much care if he exist or not.

Rick...the god of the Bible is one of the least likeable gods ever. Although I do not have enough unambiguous evidence to make a meaningful guess about whether any gods exist or not...I certainly have enough unambiguous evidence to make a guess that the god of the Bible disgusts me. I also think the god of the Bible disgusted Jesus...who seems to be a decent sort. That is why Jesus pretty much got away from most of the slop of that god.

And I also guess that is why Christians of today try to distance themselves as much as possible from that god.
