What is the difference between a fetus and a school child?

Bongsaway, you are being a chicken. You can't throw that bomb out there then retreat to the bunker to watch the melee!

I don't want to influence anyone's opinion with my own. I will be happy to post my own opinion and I'm sure many won't like it so instead of responding to me, maybe people will actually answer the questions asked.

What is the difference to me? I know a school child has rights, Constitutional and otherwise. I know a fetus is a fetus and has no rights.

I know to "the right" a fetus is a precious little gift from Jesus, but the day it's born, it's nothing to them. They don't want to feed it, clothe it, make sure it has healthcare, make sure it has education, make sure it can attend school and not come home in a body bag....

👍 👍👍👍:giggle: Love your style!

A fetus has a lower chance of being shot. A fetus needs a host. A fetus is non-existent when it's tax time.
A lot of republicans don't really care about the fetus and host until the Sun starts to expand and burn out.
There's a lot more, but blank right now.

All true, however not what I had in mind.

A school child ingests its own food, drinks its own fluids and breathes air. A fetus does not.

A school child can survive its mother's death. A fetus cannot.

A school child has memories. A fetus does not.

There are many more.

Let's see: a fetus is not yet born, not yet a person, not yet gained rights, and is not yet in school. A school child is born, is a legal person with rights, and is generally around 5-6 years old to start school (not counting pre-school). They're also a lot more expensive over time. I think that covers the basic facts.

Unborn children are easier to avocate for, because they have no tangible desires or wants.

Born children have those things, living in the world as independent beings, and it takes more than a handwave to properly address their well-being.

Bs. If a segment society wanted to start killing them, we would object just as much.
