What happens when a state controlled by the GOP refuses to certify any Dem win in an election?

You say, this will not happen, but it can and it will. Already there are cards/bills being suggested in several states that say that the legislature should be the ones who certify presidential electors if they do not agree with the voters choice for president. Why not other elected offices? You say that the voters would not approve, but are you sure that the people who support Trump and the GOP would not agree if it means their party controls?

Before you start clutching your pearls and fainting at the thought of State Legislatures exercising their Constitutional rights, you should wait and see if your worst case actually happens and find out why it happened.

That's when we'll all have something to talk about.

So let me get this straight:

Georgia was a Red state that went blue less than 6 months ago.

But you have created a topic saying Red states won't allow themselves to go blue?

Which states are considering such bills?

From blue to grey to blue to red to blue, what color will be next? Grey?

Kind of like democrats agreeing with the democrats plan to kill the fillibuster in the Senate so they can have their way, huh?

Sue. In fact, lawsuits have begun to reverse such legislation.

It's nothing like that. Killing the filibuster doesn't kill democracy, but what republicans are doing, does.

This is what happened when the South could not stop the freeing of the slaves politically, they left the Union.

Let the paranoia begin!

Once a powerful enough group decides to fully abandon democracy and embrace an oligarchy I would expect the republic and the social order to collapse.

A democracy requires the support of most of the population. But a much smaller percentage to overthrow it.
