So Trump loses in a humiliating defeat. The republicans go back to being republicans and vow to never nominate a Trump like character again.
What happens to Trump's deplorables? Those less-than-college educated, whites who are afraid of minorities?
That orange stain you mention will be managed by a McConnell court system for a generation also. They go back to non-voters. R's might think they'll go back to being R's, but I have a feeling the orange stain will take a generation to wash out. Just like Goldwater.

Maybe, maybe not. Here's an idea, Congress restructures the SCOTUS to 7 members using LIFO practices. Congress adds 200 seats (and fills them) to the Federal Bench, The Judicial Conference of the United States authorizes its Committee on Codes of Conduct to open hearings on all judges appointed that offered questionable answers during their confirmation hearings. The R's made their bed, let's see how well they sleep in it.That orange stain you mention will be managed by a McConnell court system for a generation also.
We need to get a handle on the right wing extremist violence threat, if we do that, legally and justly, I think it will limit how far they can go.The Tea Party turned into birthers, and the birthers evolved into Q-anon. They're just gonna keep getting crazier and crazier.

Nothing will happen in Congress until the filibuster is gone.Maybe, maybe not. Here's an idea, Congress restructures the SCOTUS to 7 members using LIFO practices. Yeah! Get rid of that checks and balances stuff!Nothing will happen in Congress until the filibuster is gone.
Requires a simple majority vote. If D's win control of the Senate, it's gone.Nothing will happen in Congress until the filibuster is gone.
You’ve mistaken me for a repub. This court situation will live on for 30 years at least. What do the less-than-college educated, whites, who are afraid of minorities get from a packed Supreme Court?
Nothing.
Republicans voted in massive tax cuts for the rich, and they needed the deplorables votes to do that. The thing is, the deplorables aren't rich.
So in exchange for the slim chance the Supreme Court will intervene and get the deplorables anti abortion decisions or pro gun decisions, the deplorables agree to shoulder the tax burden the rich used to carry.
Ask your friends about 'trickle down" economics and see how they feel about it. Tax cuts for the rich is "trickle down."

Checks and balances with both parties have created gridlock. Since I’ve been hit from both sides here, I’ll be sad to go from this life seeing the way our Nation is.Yeah! Get rid of that checks and balances stuff!
Kavanaugh’s recent words on Wisconsin’s voting laws is just the beginning. Your point on taxes is well taken. So?
Why do people think it will help the republicans?
The law is the law for the most part.
It might help people who want to limit abortion or to protect 2cd Amendment rights, but that's doubtful.
So the deplorables shouldered the tax burdens of the rich for nothing. Or very little.
Yeah! Get rid of that checks and balances stuff!
Thinking Banning Lobbies and implementing election reforms would do far more defending the Will of the People.Nothing will happen in Congress until the filibuster is gone.

It takes two to makes three, and I doubt anyone currently sees that. I wish I could be around long enough to see these good things happen.Thinking Banning Lobbies and implementing election reforms would do far more defending the Will of the People.
