What Happened to the Ban on Assault Weapons?

Man I envy you American so much sometimes. Even when talking about assault weapons and armour piercing bullets the anti-crowd gets rightfully knocked into place whereas here it is hard enough arguing for any weapons without massive, crippling restrictions.

That's exactly what the founding fathers wanted, common citizens that are well versed in their weapons, extent of their rights, and usage thereof because they knew the last defense of the people would be the people.

But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. That’s why the White House and Congress must not give up on trying to reinstate a ban on assault weapons, even if it may be politically difficult.

Is THAT why the ban is needed?

That is very amusing. I own an SKS, AK47 and Ar15. All semi-auto. I would love to own a full auto rifle or two, but I did not realize it was because I wanted to shoot policemen or schoolmates or fellow workers.
What is getting in to me anyway? After all, most of my family are retired Police Officers and they sure don't support such nonsense. I must be crasy, whar is my gun, I think I gotta kill sumpin'!
