Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were interviewed yesterday by CNN's Dana Bash.

Bash asked her about a range of issues from abortion, immigration, her own racial identity, and Walz' military service.

What grade would you give her?

I gave her an "F". Reasons, it was not a live interview and before being broadcast, it was edited down to 18 minutes. It also included unspecific word salad. It will not dispell the criticisms over her failing to hold a live unscripted press conference. She needs to prove that she can think on her feet without que cards or cheat sheets.

These interviews are not typically live. CNN didn't do a live one with Trump and Vance.

I had to choose between Awful and I didn't watch the interview. MAGA all the way.

It wasn't easy, but I chose the latter and am happy with my choice.

However Trump and Vance have had unscripted press conference. Harris has not. And last night Trump did a live Town Hall with Tulsi Gabbard.
 
I give her a B, but don't wish that she was more specific in policy detail.

This issue is strictly performative.

The moron (Biden) left the race. And I do hold Trump to the same standards. And he has met them. He has done live unscripted press conferences and live town halls. Harris in the meantime is still trying to hide behind Tampon Tim.

It was not a disaster, because it was so controlled, but it was awful in terms of the state of political discourse today. Softball questions, fielded badly, and a very clear lack of specifics. Scripted, just to basically say "we sat down for an interview," so they can put her back underground for another month. Meanwhile Trump and Vance regularly subject themselves to unscripted pressers and question-answer sesssions from many differet people, and the public. This kind of control of the narrative should be a concern to anyone. Democrats would not put up with it if it was a Republican candidate being handled like this. Period.

You intentionally miss the point. She only did the interview in hopes of quelling the criticism of her not doing a press conference and proving she could think on her feet. Then her handlers edited the interview down to 18 minutes. I suppos much of it was embarrasing.
