Likely multiple felony convictions. However, I do not think he should be imprisoned. Instead, I think commuting his sentence on the conditions that he surrender his passports and be banned from ever holding any sort of office again.
Maybe exiled to his Dacha. ;)

They obviously didn't listen to him when he told them to be peaceful.
Obviously remaining peaceable didn't stand out in the stolen election, fight like hell if you want your country back speech.

Nothing, as IMO he did nothing wrong.

He did not "plan" the incident, he did not "order" the incident, and the incident actually ruined the effort to change the electoral vote count per both the Constitution and rules of the Congress for certifying electors.

How exactly was that going to happen? If there was a D majority in both chambers, an objection to a state slate would not have been concurred in either chamber. No slate was going to be rejected. And without rejection of a state EC slate, Biden had the 270 votes to win and the election couldn't be sent to the house state delegations. The 12th A has no provision that would have allowed trump to remain in office. Please explain your post.

§2381. Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

How probably is this scenario now:
Trump will try to postpone any decision until the mid-term elections.
Hoping for a big Republican gain.
And hoping that the majority of the Republicans will actually be so spine-less and stop any further investigations.
Lovers of democracy must work to defeat R's. I can't stress it enough.

I don't think there is much doubt that the GOP will win the House and that the Committee will wrap up their reports by December. Trump was never going to testify and quite frankly the subpoena is just plain silly. Maybe the point was to say that we gaVe him chance to tell his side but he refused.......pretty thin in my view.

One point I will make though is that the Trumpers whining about the Committee not allowing the voice of the "other side of the story" to be heard might want to explain why "the other side" either fought the subpoenas or pled the 5th.
Witch Hunt, Exonerated, TDS.

Sarcasm....

As much as I would like to see him do jail time if found guilty, I think that he will never serve jail time. Even if that sentence comes down, my gut tells me he will kill himself before going to jail.

I think the most realistic punishment that he would understand is to have all of his finances exposed so that whatever is there is (money, property, etc.) to be taken away from him. He should not be allowed to make loans from American banks above $10,000. I think that would be the most realistic punishment.

In my mind though, his citizenship should be taken away and he should be exiled from the US and all US territories and not allowed to return (would be interesting to see who takes him in) and not allowed to do any transactions with Americans, American businesses and banks.

However, if he is to stay in the US, he will have a round-the-clock security team to both protect him to monitor him at all times. This includes everything: communications, internet, purchases,...everything. In addition to everything else.

He has proven himself to be a clear and present danger and should be treated as such.
That would be fitting as his Grandfather was deported fro Germany, for Draft Dodging. Seems he came to north America, made a fortune running a cathouse in Alaska & returned to Germany after his Draft age was passed.

What does Trump deserve for his behaviour on January 6, 2021?

In case you forgot:

These "insurgents" who walked around the capitol taking selfies were greater domestic terrorists than John Wilkes Boothe, Lee Harvey Oswald, Charles Guiteau, and Leon Czolgosz? Those guys murdered the President of the United States. The horned headdress guy, howling like a douchebag, is worse than the Fries' Rebellion in Pennsylvania? The New York Draft Riots? The Wilmington Insurrection?

You must have missed his months of saying the election would be fixed if he lost, his speech when he lost telling people they were losing their country if they didn’t act, his refusal to take action for hours against what was being done in his name, the statements by rioters that they were following his lead, and his subsequent praise of the actors who broke the law. Sounds like encouragement to me.
All of that is called free speech, like when Democrats said the 2016 election was stolen, that the people needed to fight for their rights, and that there should be unrest in the streets, etc.

If what you say is true, then anytime someone encourages a rally, if something untoward breaks out, then they are responsible. It's not a good road to go down.

Based on what facts I am aware of and using them in MY court of Public Opinion I would see a conviction on aiding in criminally causing the attempted insurrection and its consequences as in the death of Ashli Babbit and I would have him serve a short prison sentence, 5 to 7 years.

He deserves a medal. The Jan6 attack was amazing and I'm tired of pretending it wasn't
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The Presidential Medal of Freedom?

That and the NOBEL committee needs to give him a medal, just because!

There is some evidence Booth may have been in a conspiracy to return the Confederates to power. The Patsy's assassination of Kennedy was allegedly a lone wolf attack for personal reasons. Charles Guiteau again personal, not an overthrow of the government. Leon Czolgosz was an Anarchist. All terrible strains on democracy & not to be forgotten.
The threat to democracy is at a level across the spectrum of citizens that is unprecedented. The tagalong mob including the QAnon Shaman have been dealt with as mere rioters, while the core of conspirators have been charged with just that, seditious conspiracy. None of your whatabouts rise to the level of overturning simple small d, democracy.

What does crybaby Trump deserve? The term "bitch slapped" comes to mind.

Dude, regardless of one's reason, one can hardly commit a more serious act of terrorism than literally murdering the President of the United States.

The threat to democracy you refer to is made up. It's a product of today's social media revolution, which invents crisis after crisis out of whole cloth.

The core of conspirators have been charged? https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...nformants-as-ray-epps-denies-working-with-fbi Have they, now?

In case you forgot:

Since he didn't break any laws the only option is to not be voted for.

That we know of yet. I suspect federal charges related to the 6th and events leading up to the 6th are a very really possibility. For some reason Trump supporters focus only on the riots themselves.

Well my answer isnt locked in answer because we don't know what all he did yet

and deserve is subjective, he deserves punished IMO but that's just an opinion

Donnie most certainly played a role and contributed to 1/6. He has blood on his hands and shares blame for that horrific day. Nobody honest, educated and objective denies that .. only nutters claim otherwise.

It was on of the worse things to happen to my country in my lifetime and the country and world is better off without him

Yes lying is protected in this democracy, unless it hurts someone. Lying can have consequences, the insurrection was the consequence of Drumps Big Lie, lead to the assault on the Capitol & Metro Police & the Capitol itself. The Drumpf's incendiary rhetoric urging the Cult to Fight like hell if they wanted to save the country they loved, on top of all the behind the scene plotting, claiming he won the election when he knew perfectly well that Basement Joe Had Beaten him like a drum. Incitement is not protected speech, but not easy to prove. If the Drumpf is ever charged for his role in the plot, I think it will be a slam dunk for the Prosecution. Of course one MAGA on the jury & he wins again.

Even if it hurts someone, most of the time. Hurting feelings, upsetting people, offending people, etc., are all free speech. What isn't free speech are things like fraud where the crime isn't the speech/lie, but the obtaining of money or other thing of value, and similarly, defamation, there has to not only be a false statement but one that causes injury to a person's reputation, etc. - provable injury - not just a false statement that upsets someone.
Lying can have consequences,
Sure, but saying the 2016 election was stolen, while a lie, ought not have legal consequences, right?
the insurrection was the consequence of Drumps Big Lie,
So? BLM riots were the consequences of big lies about how often black people are subjected to police violence. So?
ead to the assault on the Capitol & Metro Police & the Capitol itself. The Drumpf's incendiary rhetoric urging the Cult to Fight like hell if they wanted to save the country they loved,
Both democrats and republicans, almost to a candidate, urge their supporters to fight like hell to save the country they love. That's not illegal.
on top of all the behind the scene plotting, claiming he won the election when he knew perfectly well that Basement Joe Had Beaten him like a drum.
There is nothing illegal about disputing the results of an election, even if the evidence isn't in, yet, or even if one is in the minority view of what happened. That's why it's just fine for Democrats to claim the 2016 election was stolen. They even spread falsehoods about Russian collusion - which are completely evidence-free - and there aren't and ought not be legal consequences for doing so.
Incitement is not protected speech,
Sure, but incitement means that a person literally calls for violence. Incitement is not "saying inflammatory things and having people go do something stupid as a result." If your preferred definition applies, then anyone supporting BLM and Antifa demonstrations is inciting the violence that occurs sometimes among those demonstrations.
but not easy to prove. If the Drumpf is ever charged for his role in the plot, I think it will be a slam dunk for the Prosecution. Of course one MAGA on the jury & he wins again.
Of course it's not easy to prove, nor should it be. You don't even have evidence of a "plot" much less a role Trump played in it. All you have is a bunch of people rallying their base, and then a demonstration getting out of hand as potential FBI informants egged them on to enter the capitol building.

Why not just give the completely unbiased, impartial, fair, bipartisan J6 Committee the legal ability to Try, Prosecute and Judge Trump? Why waste millions of taxpayer money when we already have what everyone knows is an extremely fair trial going on? I say let the committee judge him and hand down the sentencing.

Why do these bleeding heart liberals think he should just be banned from ever holding office again? Let's grow a spine. Not only should he be banned from ever holding office, he should be banned from life. Along with his family, his entire administration, and everyone who ever voted for that traitorous dictator. In fact, to send a strong message, the families of his entire administration and all his voters should be exiled from the planet. I'm still contemplating whether second cousins should be included. If we don't get serious about eradicating MAGA now, we soon will be faced with well over 2 billion Angry Violent Domestic Terrorist Fascist Racist Misogynist Transphobic Meat-Eating Gas-Guzzling Beer-Drinking Satanic Hate-filled FOX News Watching MAGA Republican Insurrectionist Cultists, all armed with AR-15s and WMDs seeking to destroy the soul of our nation and our Democracy. Now these MAGA Animals have already infested the UK and Italy, Russia, Belarus China, Syria, Iran, Venezuela and now even Saudi Arabia. This deadly plague has no vaccine and requires extreme lethal measures to protect our Democracy and our tolerant, accepting way of life. We may just have to nuke the planet to sterilize it of MAGA.
Seems a little bit extreme, but I'm willing to discuss it.
