You don't hear them being vocal, because it could be damaging to the party itself. I recall a Republican part that had morals and principles. That party, of course, is long gone.

A few of the documents. They are related to security council meetings and have no bearing on the BIG LIE or the attempted coup. From what I saw, they are blocking some 100 pages out of 800 or 900 pages. Still, plenty of information left there for the committee. Everything in life is a negotiation.

I'm still left with the possibility that Patel might have descibed the committee's discussion accurately, but he may have been unaware that the timeline had already been established and they wanted to know how much he would confirm or refute.
There is nothing in his statement that indicates or infers any resistance to cooperate. In fact, he went there with exactly the opposite intention.
Why should the committee be concerned with a timeline that is presented by someone in the media? Shouldn't they be more interested in what happened according to the people they call in to testify? Isn't that their purpose?
If that's the case, then why did they call in Patel? They obviously don't need his testimony. Why did they waste five hours of their...and his...time?
Patel didn't say anything about what other witnesses said. He talked about his own experience. He also didn't say anything about "what the committee already knows or doesn't know".
