What do you use for a bookmark?

I use memorial bookmarks obtained at funerals. Have several different ones, unfortunately
 
I would never buy a bookmark. The money could go toward a book. There are free bookmarks I pick up here and there or I'll use whatever's lying around.

Mass market paperbacks get dog eared. That's what they're for.
 
There are two kinds of people in the world:

1) People who use bookmarks

2) Monsters

Nearest flat object, usually a scrap of paper or a piece of junk mail or some such.
