It’s so strange to sit and read supposed fellow Americans wanting to see the military of the US turned against other Americans. Wanting to see service members purged because of…checks notes…beards. To cheer on authoritarianism and bend the knee to a draft dodger and a drunk.

No one wants to see the military turned against other Americans. The way I understand about 200 national guard troops will provide security and support for ICE in Portland.
The local government is hostile towards ICE and their mission of enforcing federal immigration laws. ICE and federal facilities are under attack on a regular basis.

The national guard was used in Washington, DC with pretty good results. Even the mayor said there were good results.
