Do you also want to return to the days of slavery?

Perhaps women as little better than cattle with no legal rights?

Telling me something existed in the 1700's is no reason to have that same thing today.

Back to this allegation.

I have never said what you said.
And have no clue why you asked any of that.

What existed in the 1700s was changed in 1824. But I have yet to hear you address 1824.

The change was suddenly the public was involved in voting for president. That was one hell of a mistake. Even you hate the outcome.

Get ready for 2020. It will be a record turnout of republicans indepents and ever a siazable number of democrats who will turn out and vote for Trump. And the down ticket effect very well may put the gOP back in charge of the house.

:lamo:lamo:lamo

There was a vast change. And per you, the claim is it failed to work.

Change: When Washington was president, no person as a regular voter voted for that job. The change that screwed it up took place for the 1824 election. Guess what that was? It for the first time allowed our ancestors to vote. And since then it is a damned mess.

Go back to where the error was first committed. Revert to the electoral college and dump out the so called voters.

Perhaps your calendar on the wall starts with the digits 17something but mine says 2019.

I'm in favor of my state choosing its presidential electors by lot.

It just takes 38 states to amend the treaty. I wonder which 38 will choose to amend it so as to reduce their political influence.

If you are lucky enough to live a long life, perhaps you will find out that answer.

You obviously do not like change by virtue of you stuck on the 1824 election.

I have already covered that matter in a previous post.

Better than your method. The Russians can't intervene in a lottery.

That makes no sense as a rational reply to my post as the Russians did intervene in our current system which you defend.

Dems will run the table IF the vote turnout is as it was in 2018 with a huge plus margin for their candidates across the nation.

Once again - IF - may be the longest word in the English language.

I concur, if the turnout is large in 2020 Trump is screwed, and not by a porn star this time.

It's not exactly a secret...righties have been cheating to win elections for well over a hundred years. It's what they do.

Race and voting in the segregated South

"...Intimidation has been a favorite tactic of voter suppression since the early days of Jim Crow. While open hostility and violence might have been the norm in the post-Reconstruction South, modern methods of intimidation are usually more subtle.

The Republican National Committee came under fire in the early 1980s when it sponsored the creation of a group called the National Ballot Security Task Force to patrol polling stations in search of voter fraud. The task force, staffed by off-duty police officers armed with loaded service revolvers and wearing blue armbands, was sued for steering black voters away from polling stations in New Jersey and forced to disband [source: Robbins]. In 2009, The Department of Justice sued members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (a group unaffiliated with the Black Panther Party of the 1960s) for brandishing a "police-style baton" to intimidate voters outside a Philadelphia polling station during the 2008 presidential election [source: Department of Justice]. And in 2012, advertising company Clear Channel Outdoor took down billboards in Ohio and Wisconsin noting the criminal consequences of voter fraud after public accusations of voter intimidation [source: Palmer].

Disinformation is another hugely popular tactic for suppressing votes in a target population....(read)"

Voter suppression

Voter Suppression Is Warping Democracy
Says the undo election anti voter id crowd. Spare me your BS.

Intervened with the voting machines?

So far there's no data to suggest that.

LOL. Oh yes there is, not only is Trump rolling in the cash big time due to the impeachment but several swing state polls are swinging toward Trump. Even Michael Moore is predicting a Trump victory, with even more more popular votes for the Dems than what Hillary had. We had polls on Dec 17 which showed Trump beating every Dem candidate, and that's just the national average.

Trump rolling in the cash big time

I thought Trump was suppose to be something different?(LOL)
Even Michael Moore is predicting a Trump victory

Now, conservatives even believe in what Michael Moore thinks? Man, I have seen everything!

I see... so you now believe in polls?(LOL)

what do you predict will happen to Congress in 2020?

I made a mistake in voting. I meant to choose option 3 but option 2 is accurate as well: Rs will re-take the House

I think this will happen mostly due to the impeachment circus

Once the Durham report comes out, the Democrat’s Russia hoax is finished. The media is going to be faced with a conundrum: continue pushing fake news or change.
We can’t stay on this trajectory forever.

I have an issue with abortion, as do most people. Most people however have more of an issue with taking the choice away from women, like me.

Whether you want to admit it or not, it's more then a choice. It's a human life....even in the fetus stage. While I make exception to cases of rape, incest or mortal danger to the life of the mother, it is about taking a human beings lifetime away or letting them live it. I do not take that as lightly as you do. Choice is not the most important aspect. Human life is.

You guys on the right are so worried about a fetus and once the fetus pops out as a baby, you can't stand it cause it's poor or a democrat.

That is one of the silliest attempts to defend a pro-choice chance that I have ever seen. It's arrogant of you to assume how we feel about a baby after it's born. And once again it does not magically assume life at the moment it pops out of the birth canal. It is alive well before the moment of birth.

Every social program the republicans do their best to cut or defund and yet you tell me you care about a fetus. What a joke.

You are making it up and spinning as you go along. We do not feel that taxpayers should fund groups such as planned Parenthood you's primary reason for existence is profiting from abortion. And when it comes to welfare entitlements, we are all for a hand up when needed...We are merely against lifetime handouts to able bodied adults. The Great Society programs of LBJ have created a welfare state where as many as three generations in many families have subsist soley on welfare entitlements and never seek work.
