What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Cheeseburger w/sauteed onions and peppers, hot Italian sausage w/ sauteed onions and peppers, beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, dill pickle, tomato, water.

Never had one...do I want to?

Are you drunk or high right now? Then yes, definitely. Get somebody else to drive you there. Then, the little reconstituted onion bits will fall in between the seats of their car, not yours.

If you live down South, they are basically Krystals without the mustard and polite employees.

You can find them frozen in grocery stores, but they aren't very good that way.

Think I'll pass...

In college, our local White Castle had their grill right up front, behind glass, so us drunks could watch while we waited. They laid down a bed of rehydrated onion bits on the grill, then put the little frozen bricks on top of the onions. Buns went on shortly after that. (If you wanted cheese, that was deftly slipped between burger and bun after cooking.) The burgers themselves never touched the grill, and they were never flipped. So soft and thin that they offered no resistance when you bit through them.

So what's the deal with pho? Is it just clarified beef broth, or something different?
It's wide rice noodles in the broth (water+oil seasoning packet), and there's little bits of meat and chives or something that come out of the flavor packet. Same meat as the chicken pho. 🤷🏻 I'm sure actual pho would be better than the packet kind.
