What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Aldi offers different things in different parts and they are managed differently. In FL we could ask them to order certain items for us, here they just look at us like we are from another planet.
To make a long story short, does your store offer Deutsche Küche Butterkäse ( German Kitchen Buttercheese)?
If they do, try it.
I miss that FL store.
I will look it up and if they have it, I will try it. I love their Deutsche Kuche soups, too.

If no ketchup then mayo is my go to.
When it comes to burgers.... the answer is mayo, mustard and ketchup combined to make the special sauce
When it comes to hotdogs and brats, mustard only
The only thing ketchup alone is good for is fries, onion rings, topping a meatloaf and scrambled eggs.

The heat in my neck of the woods has been serious. Tonight, it was fresh pineapple, kiwi, strawberries and cottage cheese for dinner.

I am a lover of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Found an ice cream sandwich produced by the Girl Scouts inspired by their famous mint choco cookies.
It is two choco cookies filled with mint ice cream between and the edges rolled in mini choco chips. There's only 3 to a box at 5 bucks a pop. That was dessert. Yum..........

Tonight I had the swearing in of some of the county Lions Clubs officers at which we had a buffet. I had the meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. Strawberry ice cream for dessert. I’m good for one more year.👍

Tomato and cheese sandwich w/mayo, ritz crackers with vegetable cream cheese and black olives. Tea.

I know I mentioned this recently but have you tried the 'flavored' Ritz?

There's a Garlic Butter, which I havent had yet, but the Roasted Vegetable is really good and the Everything Bagel is excellent and oniony.

Yes. I also like the wheat. Ritz crackers are my jam.(y)

I found a recipe for Angel Biscuits, which I had never heard of. So we had those with sausage gravy over the top and buttered spinach. Got busy with something else so there was no dessert. Very Sad.
Happy that you liked them! Now you have to find some Smithfield ham to go with them.;)

Spaghetti with Italian sausage, tossed salad, warm buttered bread.

I need to report: i just tried Aldi's Italian sausage and it is SO much better than any I've had from the ordinary supermarket. The stuff they had was always tough and grisly, and sometimes I added it to my sauce more for the flavoring than the joy of eating it; I was no big fan. But now that I shop at Aldi's once in awhile, I figured where they're German, and Germans are known for their sausage, I'd give their Italian a try. It's so tender you can cut it with a fork, juicy and delicious. I wish I had a bigger stomach, would have loved to eat more.

You've been eating a lot of sweet corn lately--it isn't local yet, is it?
No, its not yet local. Someone gave me a dozen ears that they were given but they dont like sweet corn on the cob. Berries are locally ripe and Ive made strawberry shortcake twice already.

The local corn wont be ready for 60 days because its less than knee high now. All the rain delayed planting in late May because the fields were mud. It's rained twice today and might yet rain again this evening, but the temps in the +90°s makes it feel like a rain forest. My AC seldom stops running to keep the temp at 72-74°F. I like to open the windows when I go to bed but the heat makes it miserable by the time I get up at 6:30am.

I'm not a hot weather person and would much rather the temps be in the high 60-70°s
