What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Cheesy crusted chicken with broccoli and a side of Ciabatta toast.

It was a good day. I fixed two dinosaurs so they roar again and have most of my chores done, so I'll call it a win.

None of the Curries at the restaurant I order from have peanuts except for the specific Peanut Sauce Curry. The Panang Coconut Shrimp curry I usually get has no peanuts.

Same here. They must blend them up into the sauce.

Wouldn't they have to list the ingredients for allergy safety reasons?

Probably but I probably wouldnt notice. I've had red and panang in so many different places, couldnt tell ya. They often do have a big warning for the whole menu.

We haven't lived near the vicinity of a Thai restaurant in so many years, I wouldn't know what's on the menu.
That is why I have learned the basic recipes of what we crave.

I made a sear roasted(seared on the stove top and finished in the oven) cod filet that I breaded w/ panko. The side was wild rice and ancient grain pilaf. Ice tea w/ lemon was the beverage.
That sounds delicious!

We were at one of my son’s house for Father’s Day weekend in Massachusetts and just got home about an hour ago. No time or inclination to make anything other than a tuna salad sandwich on 9 grain bread, kettle chips, kosher dill, ginger ale.

Yet another gastronomic disaster!!! But I learned that if you are making Thai butter steamed shrimp with glass noodles DO NOT use frozen shrimp the extra water in the frozen shrimp make the glass noodles turn to a mushy glop ....... not a texture that adds to the eating experience. Ordered out ..... KFC extra crispy. ( a possible psychological counter to the mushy noodles??).
