What did you have for dinner? -Part dois (8 Viewers)

One of my favorite comfort foods, for the blues or blahs, is Campbell's cream of chicken over toast.

I've never had Campbell's cream of chicken soup. Always considered it whatever held a casserole together.

In a similar category for me tho...would be canned potato, bacon, leek soup or chicken corn chowder.

We celebrated the last day of Passover with Pop's Sundowners group at the JCC. It was leftovers from the week and lots of sweets. The boys were working today, and we had the grandkids and their moms over for the Peeps Hunt and pizzas. Dessert was banana splits. It was a beautiful day to spend outdoors

We sometimes overdo and push ourselves too hard, please take care.
Thanks. When we got home, we all passed out for two or three hours on chairs, the pack and play, and the couch. I woke up making funny rhymes while clapping the beat, and we all had a few laughs. It was a good Easter. I am currently stretched a bit thin, but that happens. Hopefully, we will all be fine tomorrow.

Really?
I usually do yogurt with flax seeds, orange juice and honey.
Glad you had a good time and you are feeling better.
Thanks. I'm not in a great place, but being in a great place isn't guaranteed. Easter was good, and the kids are having fun with their stuff. Now we do another week.

Next time try a hint of nutmeg to the milk.

Nice! We don't get most grocery store items here so sometimes we gotta stock up.

I like to make Kraft Mac n Cheese and serve it with Stagg Chili. That we have had here for a long time.

They just started selling Dr. Pepper and A&W Root Beer as well. For $2.50 a can. LOL

Ouch.

I haven't had that in many, many years, but it was mentioned in this thread, so thought I'd buy a couple of cans. Made it with half can of 2% nilk and other half water, added some black pepper. The tastes was still good, an easy quick meal.

I made a chicken skillet meal and my home made garlic bread using the 80s shit bread that my family likes. This time, I used butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, mozzarella, and shredded parmesan. 425 F for six or seven minutes. I think that this was the best 80s garlic bread yet. I'm getting pretty decent at it.

@gman ... Just a small salad. Maybe the leftovers they could not put on the sandwich. Had kebabs last night with potato slices, cucumbers, and celery. Fantastic.

It’s warming up so I’ll be grilling a lot. Besides burgers, kabobs of all kinds are right up there😋

I had sweet potato fries in the air fryer. The aide cut up the big sweet potato (the hard part) and I followed a recipe exactly--coat with oil and salt them, cook at 350 for about 25 minutes. They weren't at all brown and crispy, but still tasty. I made a little aioli to dip them in. I was still wanting more to eat, so had a couple plain rice cakes I dipped in the aioli (my gallbladder will be talking about this tomorrow, I expect) and had unsweetened strawberry applesauce.

I could still eat. LOL

I hope that you are feeling better today.
Thank you. I made it through and got my calories in better than yesterday. I felt very weird this morning, but now it's a little more solid. I think that I just pushed too hard for a couple weeks. You want to say yes to everything, and sometimes, it becomes a bit much. Then you get your footing back, and you keep going. I think that next weekend will be a rest weekend.

We, mostly me, worked on the yard today, trying to get ahead for Pop and Sharon's upcoming Nuptials. Cleared sticks, catkins and leaves out from the beds and my husband took out the dead wood and twigs from the azaleas, hydrangeas, bagged and stacked the trimmings on the street for the bulk trash on Wednesday. I'll tackle the front yard tomorrow. Ordered eggplant subs and finished off the floating salad.

We like ours with oil, salt, pepper and lemon thyme.
