You tell her I made a pear torte, with a lady finger base. It was a disaster. Too mushy, no bite, sandy almost, too much cinnamon, the brandy pooled, baked at too high a temperature for too short a time. Yuchh!
 
Chicken salad of Costco "Hand pulled rotisserie chicken white meat", pistachios, craisins, celery, onion, chiffonade of spinach and spring mix, mayo, spices on a BBQ Bun with swiss.

Served with old school potato chips
 
1/2 cheese enchilada with rice and beans
1/2 Pad Thai

it was my wife's idea. i liked it.

Vegetable spring rolls.
 
We had some leftover quinoa salad with sautéed vegies.
 
Morning star grillers prime with spinach / cheese / mayo / pickles / sesame seed bun
salsa verde tortilla chips
 
I was also lazy. Bowls of hot oatmeal and raisins, topped with a fried egg for each of us, and mugs of hot coffee.

My nine year old granddaughter is with us. She thought it is weird having breakfast for dinner, but she liked the hot chocolate and licking the honey drizzler clean.
 
Ssambap: Korean grilled pork lettuce wraps with all the trimmings. It was all you can eat, but I only had one serving since the pork was very fatty.

Home made burritos... chicken. Corn and rice with Mexican spices. Refried and regular pinto beans.
Olives. Mushrooms. Salsa verde. Tabasco.

Bread: Princi (Starbucks) dont know the name but picture a light pumpernickel chock full of various seeds.... sliced very thin.

Murrays Camembert (Kroger) three weeks over date...opened today....it oozes.

Cold dinner tonite. Green salad...mesclun, walnuts, cranberries and goat cheese with balsamic dressing; with open faced tuna salad sandwich on sunflower and grain bread lightly toasted. A glass (or two) of Vouvray Chenin Blanc.

I grabbed an enchirito at Taco Bell. I had been shopping at the Goodwill (Senior discount Wednesday) and scored a cute Marmot jacket for my daughter and a dog harness that actually fits my toy Aussie dog.
 
green salad with balsamic dressing, grilled some chicken cutlets marinated in Stubbs. Love Stubbs marinades. Are they popular elsewhere? And of course, a glass of pinot grigio.
 
my wife and i took her father out for dinner at one of our favorite local places.

1/2 order of onion rings
