What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Left over homemade cheddar biscuits (DO NOT use Red Lobster Brand) sliced and grilled in some butter over which went bits of leftover lobster ( I know right, who ever has LEFTOVER LOBSTER?.....talk about your first world problems!) flash sauted in leftover clarified butter...LOTS OF IT........liberally (in the best way really) dusted with Old Bay.

WOW!

I like them but the problem is that they are so high salt that you cant throw a bunch of old bay over the top, and that was a huge part of the wow factor.

turkey and provolone flatbread with light mayo and veggies
baked ruffles

Since I'm planning my 2019 trip to Chile, I was doing a search for Chilean cuisine and found this recipe for stuffed avacados made with tuna, olive oil and lemon juice.

So I've been making them for work lunches. Very good, you feel full after one serving but light on calories

I would post a picture but It won't upload from my iPhone

diet potstickers with rice
mini egg rolls w/ sauce
splash of soy sauce

I'm a little upset my work schedule is keeping me from cooking lately, but nonetheless: last night was penne with meat sauce (mild Italian sausage as they were out of hot) and tonight is an everything pretzel from Wawa. Oh, and peach tea.

Day off for the household help, so my son helped me out to make some crab cakes- his nanny was able to take apart and scoop out the flesh of a half dozen crabs that she had steamed earlier in the morning before she took the day off, so I mixed it up with onions, scallions, eggs, milk, flour, breadcrumbs and a few spices before pan frying them. My son made the tartar sauce. We had that with some hashed potatoes and a simple salad of romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes and olive oil-balsamic dressing.

I had to clean up afterwards, but I guess it was okay.

tortilla crusted fish
rice
canned carrots

canned spicy veggie chili w/ slice of cheese. better than i expected.

I wanted to eat like a medieval lord so I had roast (actually rotisserie) chicken, grapes, tomatoes and some old crusty bread with cups of wine.

I didnt have the metallic plates like in the movie so I had to use ceramic ones. :2razz:

Medieval food can taste quite good. I looked it up a while ago and the restaurants in Munich and Augsburg seem to have been relatively close to the original. There are medieval markets staged here in Spain, where I live in various towns. Some of them are documented to go back to the Middle Ages. There most of it is roasted, stews or sweets. The Moorish food is interesting.

But I can't have that for dinner tonight. There is no fiesta today, so it will be Arroz de Marisco.

Stouffer's lasagna is surprisingly good. It's not homemade good, of course, but it's good. We keep one in the freezer for nights when we're way too busy or tired and want to just pop something in and eat. It's our "back-up" meal, so to speak.

Yes it is, for frozen it's delicious...we do the same thing...there's always at least one on hand for those nights...

Congrats on your wedding, Helix! :party:2party::congrats:

I met a friend for dinner at an Italian restaurant and he invited my son along. The kid wanted pizza so we got a thin crust, white sauce pizza with mascarpone, Italian sausage and spinach topping. We also ordered pasta carbonara and chicken parmesan.
