OK this is probably weird but I dont like ketchup on any potatoes EXCEPT fries. Definitely not on tots, hash browns, etc. Waffle fries yes.

There is a whole 'nother level of tuna that many Americans arent aware of. (I was one of them) Yes fresh, but also canned.

The Spanish have it nailed. So many good Spanish recipes call for tuna but often canned or jarred tuna...they just have a better quality available. I always say I should check Whole Foods on the rare occasions I get to one.

For me tater tots need ketchup. I like either malt vinegar or ketchup on fries equally but I prefer vinegar on hash browns and waffle fries.

I'm weird and I know it.

Packos pickles and peppers have Hungarian yellow peppers with the garlicky dill pickles. I first had them in the mid 1970s when my older sister was going to BGSU and took us to Tony Packos in Sylvania for lunch once. I stop at Packos every time I'm on the Ohio turnpike or going to Michigan because the main location on Front Street is close to I-75N.

I had to look up what Diner peanuts are because at first I thought they were the wet boiled peanuts that I bought once in Virginia at a gas station on my way to my sisters in Asheville. Those things are disgusting but I had to try them once.

I like Goo-Goo clusters but this Yankee will pass on the boiled peanuts, even with an RC Cola. Moon pies are too sweet and sticky for me.
 
I know exactly where that is.

I never liked ketchup, I like my fries naked.
 
It's too hot to do much cooking, so I made a couple thin crust pizzas. We have leftover Cheddar Bay Biscuits, too, so I had that on the side. My wife is making a cake for dessert.
 
A microwaved a chicken, black bean and grain bowl (radiation meal) for supper after my Zoom appointment this afternoon. I had a salad and a microwaved ear of corn as well because its too hot and human to make anything else, plus the appointment was emotionally exhausting.

The heat wave ends tonight with thunderstorms after midnight, so maybe tomorrow I will actually cook from scratch.
 
Uncle Ben's microwave Gumbo. 240 calories, ready in 90 seconds...I added Tabasco and it was very good. I didnt eat until after 9 pm because I was making another batch of chile verde.

I am buying more of those, it's just the right amount, to have on hand. I'm pretty picky about stuff like that and I really liked it.
 
Tuesdays are warmed up leftovers s night because I don't get home until 5:30 from volunteering. Tonight instead of staying stuck in rush hour traffic I stopped in at Market of Choice: pulled pork looked good for the hubs, sushi (something, something, crunchy) for me, scalloped potatoes looked good and so did a sugar pea pod salad and a loaf of real Italian. I'm not sure if it was a balanced meal but the variety was fun.
 
I made a burger with ketchup, mustard and extra pickle with a side of oven fries. Its cooler ( 85° ) and occasional storms, so I felt like cooking again. The fries were really good.
