What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

We had a proper Sailor sandwich, pastrami, grilled split knockwurst, Swiss on rye, grilled. The last time I had to sub a beef brat; the knockwurst is so much better. The sides were potato salad and kosher dills.

Chicken sandwich
Small fries.

I probably would have preferred a Royale, but given the food poisoning thing, I decided that I should have ****ing better known better, and I got the chicken instead.

Wise choice, I'd hold off for awhile too.

Yeah. I've worked with some seriously bad E. coli, and I don't want any of that. A restaurant like McDonald's has probably already addressed the problem. I doubt that a chain that big messes around.

I agree, from what I've heard, they seem to be seriously addressing the issue and eager to resolve it. I never had a bout with E.coli that I'm aware of, but I do hear of it often.

Some strains are not dangerous. Some are very dangerous.

It was the onions, not the meat. And I get onions on everything.

I had a beef and lamb gyro. With red onions and the other usual suspects cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki. Nice super soft pita too.

We didn't have dinner planned, so when my wife called, I suggested grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. She reminded me that we had a cheese sampler and frozen beef vegetable soup that she made a while back. I made grilled cheese sandwiches with a bit of all of the cheeses and warmed up the frozen soup. Everything turned out great. I think those were in the top tier of grilled cheese sandwiches that I've made. The warmed up soup went with it perfectly.

Oh, happy day! I made 4 trips to the polls today from the JCC to take voters to the polls. When I dropped off the last voters a little old lady, 83 y/o, was sitting at the drop-off. She said that she missed me because she had to go the bathroom and was hoping that I'd be coming back for more. Of course, I took her to her precinct and took her in to vote. When we got back to my car she asked if I could take her home which I did. She asked what I was preparing for Shabbat and when I told her chicken soup she asked if I needed any schmaltz. Who doesn't and who wouldn't want it? It was an offer I couldn't refuse. After a coffee and peanut butter cookies I made a new friend and a great pot of soup. Thank you, Minnie,

Took out a mortgage on the house and had a prime roast of beef along with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy and beets. I also cooked up a mess of cabbage rolls so tonight is cabbage rolls, pirogies and German sausage......sour cream of course.
