@BitterPill - I actually passed up seeing Elvin Bishop at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

One friend said that Bishop was fantastic, and the other said that he had not yet fully regained his hearing after the concert. Seeing him in an open air environment seems to have been a good choice.

It was the first time I smoked pot, I was a late bloomer, so my recollections are a bit hazy and have been ever since.
