save us from cartoon soundtracks for I will not

That last one I posted reminds me SO MUCH of this Soundgarden tune, but I have to say that I prefer Soundgarden.
Soundgarden is awesome, I thought they were the ones who were as good as Nirvana in the Seattle grunge scene, I always thought Pearl Jam was overrated.

Really great songs! I Love Soundgarden! :) This one has to be one of my favorites. They even sound great live. A long intro here while they throw some crazy dudes off the stage. ;)

Do you like AIC?

Another awesome AIC tune! Grrrr, Angry Chair! :2razz:

And of course this one, which is probably their most well-known song. :)

They are OK, they were never on the level of Soundgarden or Nirvana imo but they had a few good songs. Then their lead singer died. Oh well.

My fav AIC song:

But, lets take a break from that hardcore depressing grunge for just a bit and listen to a few samples from one of my fav shoegaze bands Wild Nothing:

Oh, that's a really good one too. :) I really like a lot of AIC songs. Too bad about the Layne Staley. Wasted talent.

Never heard of that band before. Personally, I really love grunge or classic rock. I think those are my two favorite genres of music.

Wild Nothing is a very new band they were only formed in 2009 so Im not surprised a lot of people havent heard of them but they are pretty good, you should check out their albums, they are more of a shoegaze band so might not be hardcore enough for you but you might want to check out a few of their songs, its more easygoing and sublime than grunge.

Thanks for the recommendation. Maybe I'll do that. :)

Gotta have me one more Zac to celebrate winters demise.:2wave:

Soooo beautiful. I wish I could like it a million times.

I've been listening to the Scottish band Belle and Sebastian. They were never that popular here, but their music sounds like its straight out of 1968. Reminds me of the Kinks.

No interpretation for us English speakers?

It's a communist song of the Greek communists
It's called Children (of communism) Rise Up.

It's a song from the late 1940's, it was used first as an anti-fascist song for greeks to rise against the italian occupation of Greece and then used by the rebel communist forces during the Greek civil war that started in 1946.
I know little Greek and while much of the song is eluded to me, it resembles very closely communist songs I find in my neck of the woods. So I just substitute the words in my mind and stay true to the tune. Say what you will about the fascists and the commies, but they have great songs. It's probably the only thing I appreciate about them.

Anyway, here's another so this is not a comment without a tune.
