What are the worst movies you’ve ever seen? (1 Viewer)

This has only happened once for me, I walked out on 1999's Sleepy Hollow (with Depp and Ricci)
Abysmal.

I walked out of Downfall.

The depression was so vivid, so all encompassing, I feared I might suicide on the way home if I'd stayed any longer.

I went see the movie since I am a fan of the late Bruno Ganz.

At the risk of inviting scorn and ridicule, I enjoyed Sleepy Hollow, though I fully grant that it won’t be making the Movie Hall of Fame anytime soon.
I wanted to walk out of Armageddon, but for reasons I will never be able to explain, my friend was enjoying it (and he paid for my ticket AND was my ride).

But I am with Elaine on The English Patient.

Which is no dig on three of the finest artists currently working, Binoche, Scott Thomas and Dafoe.

As for so bad, it's good: Bitter Moon. Peter Coyote in a piggly gimp suit...

No scorn here. I usually really love both of them. But that movie, I dunno. Just a gigantic miss for me.

I loved Downfall! Thought it was a compelling and accurate depiction of the final days of the first Trump term.😂

As a WW2 fanatic and staunch Anglophile, I loved The English Patient, though I grant that it should not have won Best Picture. Of the nominees, Fargo was way better, and there were other films from ’96 that were better than both of them.

OK, we’ll have to agree to disagree. I thought the other too sucked ass.
What are your favorite movies that Eastwood directed? Here’s my top 10:
1.Letters from Iwo Jima
2.Flags of Our Fathers
3.Unforgiven
4.A Perfect World
5.Million Dollar Baby
6.Pale Rider
7.Hereafter
8.Mystic River
9.Gran Torino
10.True Crime

Mark
Favorites would have to start with "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly". the spaghetti westerns made in Italy, "Two Mules for Sister Sara", and the Dirty Harry movies. I would follow that with "Outlaw Josey Wales. Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers, Pale Rider, and Million Dollar Baby.

I strive to be a wise-ass, as I’m sure everyone on this forum has noticed by now.

Mark

Me, too, and I surely appreciate, even admire, your endeavor in that regard.

I don’t mean to be a jerk, but I was talking about movies that Eastwood only directed, not starred in. However, I like your list, and if we’re talking about movies that he starred in (and may or may not have directed), then here’s my top 10:
1.Unforgiven
2.A Perfect World
3.Million Dollar Baby
4.The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
5.In the Line of Fire
6.Dirty Harry
7.A Fistful of Dollars
8.Pale Rider
9.Gran Torino
10.True Crime

You watched 2000 Mules?

Poor guy, and Death of a Nation is a brilliant D.W. Griffith is a century-old masterpiece that exposed reconstruction for the evil it was.

MAGA.
NOT Birth of a Nation.

Death of a Nation.

I liked Pearl Harbor and Armageddon.

If a movie sucks, I turn it off. Most of these I've never seen, several I've never heard of.

Worst movies I've sat through?
  1. Return of the Jedi
  2. Ms. Marvel
  3. The Happening
  4. Blair Witch Project

Blues Brothers 2000

After John has passed away, a bad movie isn't the point in this one, it's just sad.
edit- I don't remember if I saw it all the way to the end

Worst, Star Wars. It was so bad it kept me out of theaters for years after.

SO many bad movies out there...but the only movie I ever walked out of the theater on was Die Hard 2. Its not that I didnt have the expectation of seeing a typical Bruce Willis action type movie...but the technical advisor role should have been shot. Absolutely everything about the movie was so horrendously ludicrous that I cant even imagine that they DID hire someone to give technical advise.

I've always hated indestructible movie cars......driving down the sidewalk at 50mph in a sports car, running over parking meters and snapping them off ....if you hit one in reality at 10mph your car would be totalled and the chase would be over.

Beat car accident in a movie.
