The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 48% of American Adults say they plan to take a summer vacation this year – barely changed from last year – while 40% aren’t planning a vacation and 12% aren’t sure. The number of Americans with summer vacation plans hit an all-time low of 26% during the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020. Usually, more people say they’re planning a vacation than actually do get away for a summer trip. Forty-one percent (41%) of Americans took a vacation last summer, but a majority (55%) did not. Of those who didn’t take a summer vacation last year, 27% say they plan to take a vacation this summer.

In terms of their dating lives, 23% of singles say they’re looking for someone to get married and start a family with, while 16 % are just looking for fun, and 11% are not sure.
