WH Says No Specific, Credible Threats to Election Security
No specific, credible threats to the security of Tuesday's midterm elections have been reported by law enforcement, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said on Monday.

"Law enforcement has briefed us that there are no specific, credible threats identified at this point," Jean-Pierre told a briefing.

Biden has been briefed "on the threat environment and directed that all appropriate steps be taken to ensure safe and secure voting," she said.

This is great news: There is no threat to democracy or fair elections.

No excuses. The winners tomorrow will be decided upon by voters.

Let the games begin!

OOPS. I thought this might be a necroed thread from the last POTUS's administration. My bad..... /s

So what's with all the BS from the left that 'Democracy is on the ballot tomorrow'?
Or is it just the usual gaslighting and fear mongering from the left that we should now expect as a matter of course?

National Guard Units in 14 states are participating in election security from the cyber perspective.

NG is on the case for foreign state interference in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington and West Virginia.

The move is part of a wider effort to ensure the midterms are secure from cybersecurity threats.

Brig. Gen. Gent Welsh, assistant adjutant general and commander of the Washington state Air National Guard, noted that the involvement of a “military-grade helper” from the National Guard was important to assist states and counties in defending against any potential nation state attacks. “You don’t train people in corporations and the state public sectors to do this kind of work,” Welsh said. “One of the unique things here is you have the National Guard whose mission it is in a lot of cases to do cyber missions against other military structures.” Overall, there are 38 cyber units within the National Guard as a whole consisting of over 2,200 personnel that provide support to state and local officials on issues including network assessments and risk mitigation.

NG already participated in anti nation state cyber security in 8 states during primary elections earlier this year. This has expanded to 14 states in the election of Nov. 8th. NG protections are expected to be extended considerably throughout the 2024 quadrennial election of the Potus and its various voting stages and processes. NG may assume other roles in support of local and state law enforcement authorities at that time.

That's great news! Have them be on the lookout for Democrats backing up their Subaru's filled with cardboard boxes.

They'll be wearing 'Election Worker' badges around their necks, and claim the "boxes were just found and NEED COUNTING immediately!"

Is that a serious question?

You think people are talking about this specific election's security when they warn about 'democracy on the ballot'?

Not trying to be rude. I just don't know if you're seriously asking.

Those are all Republicans. Can't you tell a false flag operation when you see one?

This is basic stuff.

You're wildly OTT.

On a lark.

My post was serious about the National Guard and election security.

I don't hear the PutinTrumpRowers saying anything about or against armed political goons in vests at voter drop boxes. If the Rowers respect voting and voting practices and procedures you'd be on the case when you're not. Listening to you guys elections with armband right thugs with guns don't exist.

Republican says party ‘will never lose another election’ in Wisconsin if he wins

Our concern need not be with election security but, rather, with the actions of those elected. If there is a threat to our governmental system, it will not obtain a the ballot box.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

"at this point" - which is as in 'so far', and it's still early yet. So they're going remain vigilant throughout the day and night. It remains to be seen if any 'election deniers' will attempt to access voting machines or data.

I'll believe that when I see the Dems lose a close election say in GA or PA and not shout "RIGGED!" from the rooftops and in the courts.
Pathetic whataboutism, false equivalence. All in one.

We're already seeing voting machine failures in Arizona and New Jersey. Some voters in Michigan are bring turned away because they already voted absentee.

But it's FAKE NEWS because you cannot trust THE SWAMP! Crooked DOJ is full of LIARS and COMMUNISTS.
:)

It is interesting that this information is acceptable now, but when the same was said of the 2020 election it wasn't believable. Why the change in direction?

Stuff happens. We have systems in place to account for it. No need to hold a funeral for democracy over glitches that happen every two years in a large democracy.

They mean that Democracy is in danger if Republicans gain control of the election process and seek to suppress voting in vulnerable areas. Democracy is not in danger if Democrats retain control. Therefore, Democracy is on the ballot.

Why would it be bad for them to do so? It was a useful tactic for the former president and the host of GOP candidates currently running.
