The fight for the route of the transcontinental railway was part of the led up to the Civil war… but all in all it was minor thing… it wasn’t completed until years after the war.

So what? Try to imagine you're a Southerner who paid high taxes until about 1857, and you find out where the Railway is planned to run. Tell me you just shrug that off with a smile and a shrug.
 
Even Lady Antebellum knew to change their name and its connotations so it's past time the USMA does the same.

And the North fed off the prosperity produced by the slave system. That's why few if any Northern politicians advocated getting rid of slavery in established states, as indeed was Lincoln's attitude. It was making money for them too.

Then why did the South insist on war when they knew that the North had the industrial machinery to manufacture the armament needed. Pretty damn stupid, wasn’t it?

I was in the military with some Southerners, boy do they like to revise history.
