Were the Leftists on DP, those who claimed Biden was mentally capable of being president, duped or were they fundamentally dishonest?

The entire Trump election narrative was that this country is a hellscape that needed saving though. So are you saying that narrative was false?

And the descriptions "moron" and "incompetent" were rampant...what, were they ALL just sour grapes? :rolleyes: The same quotes and stories emerged, corroborated, in book after book, interview after interview. Only the indoctrinated cant see it.

We are doing extremely well compared to much of the world, despite what Trump would like us to believe, but that doesn't mean that there aren't serious problems, like global climate change, that need solving. We are well off, and it takes vigilant effort to ensure that we stay that way. As long as around half of Congress puts loyalty to Trump over loyalty to the people and the Constitution, we will not be staying that way.

By not taking these standalone spending bills to the Senate floor, he creates a log jam of spending which he combines into an multi-thousand page omnibus bill along with his favored pork spending (corruption), which, due to government shutdown time pressures, no one reads and votes on to pass, hiding all the Schumer's (and other's) favored pork spending in that bill.

Schumer engineered the government shutdown pressure in order to extort the pork spending which he, and others, wanted.

I this really what you'd call 'service to the country'? I'd call it extortion and corruption in high government office.

This is typical of the political right, to blame others for the problems they create. Ensuring that all Americans get their needs met is certainly service to the country, rather than service to a wannabe dictator.

As I recall, "leftists" were firmly of the opinion that Biden offered a less bad option than the alternative Morally as well as cognitively. They are yet to be proven wrong.

Nothing at all as to the topic and points raised in my post. Nothing refuted, no reason given why Schumer hold up the spending bills, nothing.

It is if one is under the belief that government is there to give the collective free stuff and America is a Utopian playground for the entitled at the expense of the wealthy citizens. To the rest of us, we view government as necessary to protect our liberty and freedom, and that means also our wealth. :)

You won't see it but many who are more moderate or to the right of you, and even many independents saw the Democratic Party go too far to the regressive broke, woke left, and didn't do enough to curb rising prices for the consumer. So, in that respect, for many, the country became to them a hellscape worth saving. Hence, making Trump 47.
