If this is conservatives' idea of protecting cis women, I would hate to see what they are considering harming cis women would be. Seems conservative have more trouble telling trans women from "real" women more than they claim they can.

Thank goodness. Say what you want about Republicans wanting to strip women's legal rights to have their votes counted for simply changing their maiden name to a married name, to purchase birth control, to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, or to simply buy a vibrator...at least they will seek to prevent transgender girls from competing with them in sports or using their public restrooms.
