Civilization is hanging on by its fingernails. America will be less prepared, less willing to mitigate the pandemic through government action, more prone to believing disinformation, and overall the perfect candidate to be in post-apocalyptic state should another COVID level (or worse) pandemic hits. It will take tens of millions of deaths for MAGAmerica to even begin to take it seriously.

The real reason there was a backlash to COVID is that it showed that government was actually capable of good things, such as cutting childhood poverty in half overnight and bolstering the social safety net.

Some people think problems don't exist if we just don't look at them. And also, progressives don't have any answers, so we need to keep on in the same direction and wait out Trump, as civilization is hanging off the cliff struggling to maintain its grasp.

I believe liberal moderates are fully useless, an obstacle to be overcome rather than an ally to assist in any significant struggle. These are the people who stood on the sidelines in every single catastrophic event of our times; who told the frog the water wasn't boiling. The number of deaths are fake, those who died had other medical conditions, it was mostly the elderly, a vaccine contains chips or changes your DNA, so don't trust it, Globalists are trying to run the U.S. and all kinds of nonsense.

Hopefully there won't be another major pandemic, but what will be the count next time? Another million? Maybe 2 million? 5million?
