Well, Its On, Officially

You posted (published) an edited version of my post.
No, I used the quote box to quote part of your post in my post.

I didn't publish anything and I didnt edit your post (that isnt possible on DP). Your post is still there unedited.
You must have a low opinion of the intelligence of anyone you think you are fooling.
Weird that you think quoting the part of a post i am refering yo is an attempt to fool anyone.

You seem to not be paying attention to the fact that what I'm saying you did, is publish an edited version of my post. And it's a fact you did that.

Nope.

That is a lie.

I used the quote box to quote the part of your post that I was refering to.

I didn't edit your post. That is not possible. Your post is still there unedited.

And i didn't publish anything.

No need to lie.

RF resorts to dishonesty when you out argue him.

You always pull this. Give it a rest.

Thanks

I don't know about "always", but yes I do often comment when a person starts posting edited versions of my posts.

Do you have the habit of posting those edited versions of other people's posts?

Quoting the part of your post i am responding to is not "posting an edited version" of your post.

Your post is still there. Unedited.

Example:

"Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

Did I just "publish an edited version" of Shakespeare's Macbeth?

Do I need to post the entire play everytime because you dont understand quoting a line or two?

Which has nothing to do with you posting a counterfeit version of it.

Example:

"Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

Did I just "publish an edited version" of Shakespeare's Macbeth?

If you claim that is Macbeth by Shakespeare and you publish it claiming it is Macbeth by Shakespeare, you have.

Ask yourself if you publish it in its entirety minus just a few lines of dialogue, is that an edited version of Macbeth? It obviously would be.

Do I need to post the entire play everytime because you dont understand quoting a line or two?

In this case you're not saving effort...you're taking extra effort.

The software takes care of copying the post you quote- with just one click.. Then you must manually edit the parts you wish to remove.

Twist all you like. It's amusing to me. The fact will remain that you post an edited version of people's posts, and deny you did it.

I quoted part of your post. There is nothing counterfeit about it

Silly nonsense.

i quoted it. Just like i quoted you.

Quoting a few lines is just that.

Its done all the time.

It is not "PUBLISHING AN EDITED VETSION OF IT".
In this case you're not saving effort...you're taking extra effort.
I am quoting the part that I was refering to, for charity's sake.

why quote the entire thing when i am only refering to part of it?

that leads to confusion.

then I choose the part I want to quote.

the sofrware doesnt allow anyone to edit your post except you. And then only in the first 30 minutes.

you are so confused.

Thats a lie.

I quoted part of your post in mine. The part I was refering to.

I did not "publish an edited version" of your post.

It is not an edit.
Like EVERYONE i do it all the time.

It is why the function is available to use.
I would like to see your posts mature and they stop pulling this crap.

Of course my original post is still there.

Also an edited version you posted.

That is a quote from the original.

Hence the term "quote box".

But it's different from the original. How does that happen? The quote function makes a word for word copy of the original.

But it's different from the original.
no, the part that is quoted is word for word. A quote.

Right and then the poster chooses which part they are going to quote.

Why quote the whole thing if you are only refering to part of it?

That would be confusing.

So I'm confusing you, since I'm not posting edited versions of your posts.

You were refering to the whole post. So no.

If you were refering to just one sentence, it would make sense to quote just that sentence.

Then what does explain your confusion?

As I said. There isnt any.

Seems you can't read.

Here is my response again.

"You were refering to the whole post. So no.
