Some people argue because he spoke ill of others continuously while he was alive, to remain silent as to the harm he may have caused because of those words after his death could be construed to condone what he said particularly in light of those coming on this or other boards to portray him now as a hero or martyr. Its a tough one. On the one had maintaining civil discourse is of course something we should all follow but on the other hand to ask people to refrain with silence when others promote his views and use his death to promote this views is unrealistic. When I totally understand you is that discourse should avoid personal attacks against him and stick to the issues.

I am trying hard Cyrus as someone who detested his beliefs to show decency in my responses. I think your plea for civility is to be commended although I disagree with one point of it.

We both agree his children and wife are now going to b are the brunt of a lot of comments to come angry with what he stood for. Choosing the life he did exposed his children and wife to risk at many levels. That is a cold cruel reality of many political figures.

Hopefully we will learn how Charlie’s killer was influenced in such a short period of time (in less than two years) to hate Charlie, and turned into a psychopathic murderer.
