Weinstein Co. terminates Harvey Weinstein following sexual harassment allegations

It's because they tend not to be believed: women who come forward with sexual assault/harassment cases can expect a mixture of disbelief, retribution by the more powerful sexual predator, punishment by a system that harbors that predator, an investigation into their own personal lives, and accusations that they're only doing the accusing for wealth and/or attention.

If you can do no more than cut and paste, you don't need to keep posting.

Ask the women who were the victims of Weinstein if his sexual harassment was morally relativistic. Then, ask the women who were the victims of Trump if his assault was morally relativistic. Your personal opinion of moral relativism isn't interesting to me, but I'm certainly interested to hear what their victims think.

I'd ask you to ask the murdered babies for their opinion, but then, realistically, I can't, because they're dead. But the point I was addressing is hypocrisy. If you'd like a more direct example, those Democratic leaders like Nancy and Chuck claim to cry for the children murdered in Newtown, Connecticut while championing the murders of babies in Everytown USA. They're complete hypocrites.

You're cutting and pasting the same questions.

Ask same question, get same answer. If you don't like that, I can break out a thesaurus and start replacing words for you.

Bill Clinton is my hero. He made asking for oral sex all the time socially acceptable. And Weinstein is great; he sets the bar so low he makes the rest of us, well, many of us anyways, look like upstanding gentlemen.

When I get in trouble, I just say, "Well, I might have looked at that pretty girl in the restaurant, but at least I didn't send naked pictures of myself to underage women with my cell phone". Gets me off the hook every time !!!

Sure, they all should be strung up by their scrotum's, but they do make me look good. Thanks Clinton, Trump, Weiner, Weinstein, and all the rest of you scumbags.

It's weird; one of the giants in the industry just blows away.

Well seeing as how long he has gotten away with it. One can tell just how much power the man possessed in his professional life.

How many people are just now coming out about this, and not to many how many of those top executives that were either complicit, or participated with him.

This is the torpedo that can sink multiple ships here.

In addition to bragging about sexual assault in the Access Hollywood tapes, there's also the other women who accused him of assault and harassment:

The complete list of women who came forward (in addition to Ivana Trump and Jill Harth):

Jessica Leeds (1980s)
Kristin Anderson (1990s)
Cathy Heller (1997)
Temple Taggart McDowell (1997)
Karena Virginia (1998)
Mindy McGillivray (2003)
Rachel Crooks (2005)
Natasha Stoynoff (2005)
Jessica Drake (2006)
Ninni Laaksonen (2006)
Summer Zervos (2007)
Burnett's unnamed friend (2010)
Cassandra Searles (2013)

Vulgar of a type I dislike. Evil? It doesn't sound like it. Criminal? Maybe, if a court finds him guilty.

There needs to be a special prosecutor appointed to get to the bottom of all this.

I would like to see this proof of his admitting, though I can already guess which one you're most likely going to use.

No, but I get the impression that alleged sexual assault by Trump somehow excuses Harvey Weinstein's sexual assaults, or else you wouldn't be making such comments in a thread about Weinstein.

They see red when they get the chance to "supposedly" stick it to Trump.. though they usually shoot their own foot in turn.

You're right. I said earlier that this can open a flood gate.

How much money did Clinton and Obama get from Weinstein? There needs to be an investigation to find out how deep they are into this.

Should we investigate the sexual misdeeds of every Republican donor as well? I'm fairly certain we'd find more than a few.

What I remember is that the relationship between Mr. Clinton and Ms. Lewinsky was consensual. While Trump cultists try to draw an equivalence between Mr. Clinton and Trump, grabbing random women's ******s without permission isn't the same as having a sexual relationship in which genital touching is welcome.

Oh yeah, Clinton being the President had little to do with it. :lamo You people come up with the lamest ****.

How about we investigate every Democrat donor is see what we find. Apparently one of them just got fired. Hmmmm, who could that be?

The worst thing is, it's not even Weistein's fault. He just went out to get some pizza...

I'm sure you'd find plenty, but lets not pretend like every Republican donor is squeaky clean.

Seriously? Do you want to waste everyone's time with this petty, irrelevant score keeping of one's moral ledger? For every Studds there is a Foley. Depravity is a human condition that crosses party lines.

Sorry, this idea that sins of an individual should be ascribed to a political party is rather childish, don't you think?

OTH, voting for someone (regardless of their party) with a long history of moral depravity is an issue. Trump's personal ledger should have disqualified him, especially with evangelicals, who demonstrated remarkable moral flexibility (iow, hypocrisy) this time around.

Scumbags are scumbags. why do you think this would be something I would make an excuse for?

Who pretending? Strawman much?

Your full throated deflection says otherwise. Apdst said we need to investigate how much Clinton and Obama got from Weinstein.

But yes, lets spend millions of dollars looking into the sexual past of everybody who ever donated any money to a political campaign.

I'm not constrained by something apdst says, WTF?

And what does this moronic tripe have to do with the subject at hand?

While it may have been consensual in the most technical sense of the word, I agree with Turtledude that sex between a boss and a subordinate is sketchy at best. The two are hardly on equal footing.

It's been a while, but I remember that she was the one that instigated the relationship.
Nov. 15 [1995]: During the government shutdown, Clinton visits the chief of staff's office for a birthday party. Lewinsky lifts her jacket and shows him the straps of her thong underwear. Then he invites Lewinsky to his private study, where they kiss. Later that evening, they have a more intimate sexual encounter during which he takes a call from a member of Congress.
