Why don't you join? It'd be superior.. :)

Anyone want to come? What logistics are you concerned about? Do you not see the benefits?

Can you get an island with lots of sun and fruit?

Yes, we would have a natural food source..

We could be completely autonomous if we had an island with enough resources. Isolationist paradise! :D

Well to answer Barb's point about charity, I see no reason why you cannot work for the community off the clock. If something is lacking you can take the initiative, organize and work to fix it. It would give you a strong sense of community as well as make you feel good. And about the earlier question of maternity leave, full maternity leave would be allowed. The resources would be fully opened, and naturally medical care would be fully available.

What is a libertarian socialist?

What is a libertarian socialist?

Good, good question.

From wiki
Libertarian socialism (sometimes called social anarchism,[1][2] and sometimes left libertarianism)[3][4] is a group of political philosophies that promote a non-hierarchical, non-bureaucratic, stateless society without private property in the means of production. Libertarian socialism is opposed to all coercive forms of social organization, and promotes free association in place of government and opposes the coercive social relations of capitalism, such as wage labor. The term libertarian socialism is used by some socialists to differentiate their philosophy from state socialism[5][6] or by some as a synonym for Left anarchism

A philosophy that rejects domination, exploitation and coercion.

Is it paid for? Can I choose what I want to be or will it depend on the need of the community? Do we need a vet?
I'm willing to work and go to school.
There is no currency so no need to worry about paid for. You can choose what you want to be, but if there is a shortage of jobs, it may have to be rotational and in rare but desperate conditions forced to go in a particular field. I don't see why veterinarians would no longer be needed. Animal well-being would still hold its importance.

Libertarian socialist? Is that like the term "constipated diarrhea"?

Again it's hillarious that everyone makes jokes like these. Libertarianism is a left-wing philosophy. It only has right-wing usage in the U.S. because of the way the U.S. uses it in relation to the state. The first person to ever use the word libertarian was a left-anarchist in France in the 1850's.

Yes, they should be healthy before the slaughter.

Hey did Z change your ISM? I thought you were teaching me straight socialism?

Is there one type of capitalism, or straight capitalism?

Likewise there is not just one socialism :)

I forgot what exact tendency WeAreReborn is..

I think we may have different conceptions of what veterinarians do. :/
I couldn't resist.
I love animals. I've volunteered in shelters and rescues most of my life.
But we still get to eat meat don't we?

Well this is a complicated subject. Meat in itself is extremely inefficient as cattle consume a massive amount of food. I also am against eating meat but I am pro freedom. So I think, if you can make it efficient and obviously make meat healthier, unlike this disgusting product that passes for meat today, then yes meat could be produced and distributed.

Maybe it is because I am really tired but I did not at all understand what this means lol.

He thinks you are some leninist/state socialist lol because in the mind of most Americans the left means the state, which is weird
