JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —" State and local law enforcement agencies are issuing warnings ahead of planned protests scheduled for this weekend across the country -- including many locations in Florida. Saturday has been named as "No Kings National Day of Mobilizations," with thousands of activations spanning every state.
At a press conference in Brevard County Thursday, Attorney General James Uthmeier and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey issued a warning to protestors. "
If you "want to throw things at vehicles, rocks or other objects," Uthmeier said, "you're going to do time." However, he admitted, "We haven't seen much of that in Florida."
Uthmeier also announced a new program aimed at protecting ICE agents from doxxing — a practice where someone's personal information, such as their home address, is made public, often with malicious intent.
