Has anyone noticed Right Wing Pundits on Faux are calling for compromise. We have to come together. I guess they are leaving out all who voted for trump. I believe they are more interested in "trial by combat"

Now that they have lost it all they want the democrats to compromise. Certainty hasn't been that way for the last 4 years. We have played this game before. Negotiate with the republicans and you will get screwed.

I hope not but history says democrats are foolish enough to reach out their hand even though last time the Republicans cut it off.

Obie reached out, the fool that he was, and got bit. Good Ole' Joe seems no brighter.

I give it a coin flip. I think that wanting to compromise with Republicans is part of Biden's nature, but if enough people around him are against it he could be influenced. There needs to be accountability and Democrats need to be the ones that Republicans have to move towards instead of the other way around.

If the Republicans really wanted to "come together" they would have congratulated Biden on his win in November. No, instead they enabled the childish and dangerous antics of their cult leader. Now that its clear that he led them down the wrong path they suddenly want forgiveness.

It reminds me of the guy that cheats on his wife, she discovers it, he still cheats, the other cheater dumps him and now he wants his wife to forgive him.

We all love mea culpas, but they don't often come without consequence. It is much easier on everyone if you do the right thing from the getgo and always run toward what is right and true.

It's easy for Fox to claim they want compromise and peace when they've spent the last decade doing the exact opposite.

Like the stranger that comes into the small village and wickedly burns down all the homes but one then goes there as the sun sets and it is getting cold to ask them to put him up for the night, after all it is the kind thing to do, Right?

Some might. But, my band of Never Trump former Republicans will never compromise with the Nazis now running the party.

We do not negotiate with terrorists, seditionists, insurrectionists or their enablers in Congress.
Get rid of them and we will consider dialogue with the remaining Republicans.
If the Republican Party is unwilling to hold their own seditionist caucus to account for their role in criminal conspiracy to overthrow the democratic process then they can consider themselves to still be at war, a war that we did not start but a war that we shall finish, on our terms.
Their continued inaction further emboldens the remaining enemy combatants at large.
End of story.

Their current agenda is more about distancing themselves from taking responsibility for their creation, while continuing their extremist game to attack "the left" as America's enemy, than anything else.

They went from displaying disgust over their fellow Trump followers (January 6) to looking away as the right-wing began spinning another falsehood that Antifa was behind the attack, to playing on the idea that all should be forgiven because holding Trump accountable for this latest example of treason would "further divide this country." But there is no forgiveness and moving on until justice is served. Odd that the Party that boasts a monopoly on "law & order" now refuses to see justice served.

Same old shit from the GOP. And now, their cry for the Democrats to reach across the aisle is just more of them playing the perpetual victim. The "Party of No," created by McConnell, Boehner, and Ryan in 2008, proved that when they do have power, they do nothing for the country. They are more comfortable playing the victim to Democrat tyranny and conjuring up falsehoods to simply oppose.

Don't worry, your side of the argument almost NEVER really wants to compromise.

There is nothing to fall for. For the last four years Democrats have said that Trump is divisive, implying that they are not. Biden has said that he will unite and heal the country. Are the Democrats less divisive? Will they try to heal the country as they said or were they lying and will be just as divisive? Just be honest.

Comes down to what everyone means when they say "unite," I guess.

They're not wrong. I don't believe in compromising with the MAGA crowd.

I watched that, last night. You seem to be missing the point.

The reaction to Greene's impeachment resolution will tell the tale of how authentic (or inauthentic) the plea for unity and compromise really is.
