Trump’s Border Czar is former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan. Not really a surprise.

"I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation's Borders ("The Border Czar")," [Trump] wrote on his Truth Social website late on Sunday. (Newsweek)

Making the rounds of talk shows during the election as a Trump surrogate, Homan gave some insight into how the administration might proceed with the “Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”

During some of those appearances, Homan said deportation round ups would be tiered over a ten year period. In others, he used the word “targeted.” First to go would be criminals and national security threats. A 13-minute 60 Minute segment with Homan from Oct. 27 gives his view of how the deportations will likely be carried out. Watch the video or read the transcript

This is very good news. Homan will certainly get the job done.

On a side note, as usual, Newsweek can't help but spin what should be straightforward news reporting into something that dishonestly attempts to make Trump look bad by bringing up that dead horse...Project 2025. Newsweek should be ashamed of themselves...but, of course, they are shameless.

No surprise here. Homan is a nasty individual.

i hope we don't go to war with mexico

He's perfect!

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Thomas Homan rejected comparisons of his federal agency to that of Hitler's Nazi regime earlier this week by saying that they are just following orders."

You're showing racism. You're only telling us exactly who you are.
Explain how that is racism.
Criticizing white people for their inability to accept the changes around them is not racism.

Playing the race card is racist. Did you ever think it is your problem that you haven't the ability to accept the changes going around yourself? You accused me of white resentment. Methinks you're projecting your own.

Because he's already proven that he is tough as nails on immigration. We need him back, and all it took was a Trump win.

There are ways to run the department and being pointlessly ruthless is not one of them.
If the US wants to stay telling the rest of the world how virtious it is you need to actually be vitrious.

I never wrote that he would be ruthless. Tough as nails means he does the job he was appointed to do. He's not going to be a stick figure like puppet Mayorkas.

I see your country is cheering for Trump's win.

I think you are clueless.

Why do southern border immigrants freak you out and visa overstays never make an appearance in your posts?

We will see how he does. Trump has no problem firing people who fail to do the job and replacing them with more qualified people. Enforcing the law is what is needed. There are millions of people all over the world wanting to come to this country. It is time to let them in and stop the people not wanting to do it the right way.

Remember when Republicans were against the concept of czars?

Barely.

Seems like that was a whole different century. Turns out FDR was the first Democrat to name 11 of them, Eisenhower only had one, but George W Bush had 33 but not to be outdone, Barack Obama had 38.
