Malloy to Reed on an episode of Adam-12 last night. Sometimes I think Adam-12 should be standard curriculum in police training.

Y9ou were watching Adam 12last night?

So was I for about 6 hours.

I saw so many differences in the way people are treated these days.

I realize the actors did not follow police protocol, but it struck me that when the police officer said freeze, the perp actually did.

Where are you guys watching Adam-12? Netflix?

You guys mean to tell us you don't like modern American Reality Trash TV? What's this world coming to?

Adam 12 was NOT a reality show and came from a period where people still had enough brain cells left to know that TV was entertainment, not truth.

We know that but it is still funny to note differences, like putting arrestees into the car with no handcuffs and having speakers on the rear package shelf in the car.

I like series like this. It allows me to see the '60s and '70s cars driving on the road so I can restore my cars to original.

They have been so messed up over the years with fads it is hard to remember what they used to look like.

Right. Of course none of the shows either then or now are truly accurate, but I think the differences in that show (and others of its era) and shows of today do represent a difference in mindset between then and now.

I do chuckle when they yell, "Freeze!", and the suspect actually freezes.

Now every cop show favorably feature rebel cops who bend the law to fight evil.

Jack Webb was no liberal, but the police he depicted on his shows would make the ACLU happy with their by the book behavior, courtesy and respect for human rights.
