There's a third and much more plausible reason that not one single witnesses could (or would) produce any evidence or testimony that Trump took part in, or had a hand in planning the violence which occurred on January 6th:

I have been thinking. Trump and his clowns have a unique propensity for telling fibs and keeping quiet. Just because he wasn't charged for it doesn't mean shit. It just means that enough witnesses either took the 5th or lied. Exact same scenario that Mueller went through.

Ita, it doesn’t mean shit. No doubt his conspiracy charges will also involve his inciting the insurrection, his actions that day.

Unsurprisingly, his apologists/cult have been desperately clinging to that one sentence while ignoring everything else, as if that one sentence was all that was involved, and as if it somehow absolves him, which is nonsense.

The reality is that his inciting began long before January 6th. His inciting began before the election even took place and continued right up to and including that day. All of his inciting for all of those months, long before January 6 and including that day, rendered that one sentence completely meaningless.

By the time January 6 came they were already whipped into a frenzy. By the time that day came they had been fully brainwashed into believing the election was stolen and they were prepared for battle, all due to his inciting.

They even named it Stop the Steal ffs. There would have been no Stop the Steal if not for his inciting, if not for his lies and brainwashing.

In FACT during the staging rally, Trump ACTUALLY advised rally-goers to be peaceful. He never called for an attack.:

"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard . . . ,"

And he never tried to stop them once it started.

Never lifted a finger.

Afterwards, he told them that he loved them.

Insurrection was built into the name of the rally: "Stop the Steal."
