We do not follow the Republicans who nominate the extreme right nor the Democrats that nominate the extreme left. We will only support candidates that support the American Party

I am founding the United States Party to counter the American Party. We also do not follow Republicans who nominate the extreme right nor Democrats who nominate the extreme left. But, in a crucial difference between us and the American Party, we strongly endorse the right for every American to enjoy a fine craft beer on a hot summer day. In fact, this is central to our platform.

Therefore I invite all members of the American Party to instead join us in the United States Party.

You were just supporting some one dividing our country. How does that fit?

I despise craft beer. I hardly have a taste for beer at all these days. What's your policy on tequila, triple sec and lime juice?

Persoanlly I vote for whoever I feel will best represent my political beliefs. I do not worry about labels like "far right" or "far left". But you do you.

Well, at the moment you are trying to divide the country by forming your own political party that excludes many Americans. I figure that if it's OK for @craig to divide Americans, then perhaps it's OK for me to as well, especially if my political party has a more noble policy platform--in this case, advocacy for craft beer and other fine, ambrosial delights.

So now we have the Extreme Right, the Extreme Left, the America Party (boring, don't care about refreshing drinks) and the United States Party (the hot place to be, great music, attractive singles and many drinks to choose from). Let's get this Party started!

Our policy platform can and does extend to cover all form of fine liquors and cocktails, as well as satisfying margaritas both simple and spicy. Refreshing mocktails for those who abstain are also welcomed--particularly the mint/cucumber themed ones.

Do you vote for the individual or the party? The problem is that is almost impossible now.

Okay, I'm with you guys.

Your previously thread blew up in your face so now you try to deflect and start another similar thread. There is no extreme left in the USA. Its only when you support fascism that moderates look like extremists.

If there is a left and a right along a continuum, there has to be an extreme to either side.

I don't agree and the state of our country's politics make that plain.

Socialism was created in Britain, best served with a large well-hopped top-fermenting beer.

Recently I have been asked to elaborate on the United States Party's position on Immigration. Our platform is as follows:
  • Strong border controls comparable to EU and Far East Asia norms with a focus on deterring illegal immigration, transport of contraband and human trafficking, through a combination of patrols, drones and physical boundaries (where appropriate).
  • Increase legal immigration rates to achieve a sustained, combined birth+immigration rate of 2.8% per annum; immigrants must pass robust American civics tests, pledge adherence to our Constitution, legal code and secular society, and demonstrate the means to sustain themselves. 5 year path to citizenship.
  • Mandatory e-Verify; 18 months for all US businesses to achieve compliance; criminal penalties for failure to comply
  • Permanent 12 month path to citizenship for all DACA
  • 10 year path to citizenship for existing illegal immigrants with a relatively clean record (don't worry, our interns will sweat the details of what "relatively clean" actually means, that's what interns are for.)
  • The expenses associated with both border security as well as legal immigration expansion and scale-out of e-Verify will be entirely funded through a $40B/year reduction in the DoD budget--the Department of Defense will be challenged to maintain existing readiness with a 5% lower budget, in exchange for investing in our domestic capacity and security through this policy. (When the DoD complains, I will ship them a framed photo of the Zumwalt.) These investments should not come at the cost of tax increases, and they should not take "credit" for increased future tax income from documented immigrants--that income should be directed toward deficit reduction instead.
  • Immigrants are not required to enjoy alcoholic drinks, however they must not act to curtail the availability of fine mixed drinks within their community.
Our Immigration committee will be taking feedback over the next 48 hours before finalizing our policy platform, after which we will then move to national industrial policy.

No, there doesn't. Politics is people, not a graph. If people have an opinion, they have it, it doesn't mean there's an equal group with the opposite view.

Load of nonsense. You don't even mention the most relevant political force in the country, the oligarchs.

Will they support the American party? We like people to work and we like businesses to make stuff. So no income tax or tax on profits. We do not like entrenched wealth or aristocracies (autocrats) so we only tax wealth.

In the end, for voters, it boils down to nothing more than a choice between Left or Right.

The Democratic Party nominated and ele Ted a life long moderate not the "extreme left".

Who are these extreme lefties in power? Bernie Sanders is politically identical to Justin Trudeau and to the right of Dwight Eisenhower(R), Truman, and FDR. He is hardly an extremist. The US has moved so far right economically in the past 30 years that moderates look like extremists if you don't understand history and poli-sci.

In another important point of contrast between my United States Party and @craig's American Party, we in the United States Party do not believe in taxing wealth as the primary revenue driver for government. We favor a calibrated balance of income taxes and consumption taxes, with a greater bias toward consumption vs. income taxes compared to the status quo. We are not opposed to moderate, calibrated taxes associated with the transfer of wealth by treating such transfers as a source of income for the recipient, however we do not believe (for example) that a family should be taxed out of its ancestral land unlike those stodgy American Party radical activists.

So... we offer fine drinks, a sensible immigration strategy and a pragmatic tax, simple tax code. Join the United States Party today!

Perhaps a link to the text of how that would be accomplished?

Sounds like a good apposing party. At least we could tell them apart.
