A CT I've been playing in my head is that this whole MAL "raid" is a setup by DJT himself. If he could pull it off, I would have a newfound respect in his ability to hoodwink millions. This time we on the other side would have the egg on face moment.

Trump has 27+ boxes shipped from the WH to MAL. Some (most?) have information that should have been left behind due to presidential records stuff. Someone (by direction of DJT) tips off the National Archives and they arrange to get some of the boxes back. Later, someone is tipped off again that not all of the boxes were retrieved, so here comes some more fed employees. They find some questionable stuff so demand that boxes be secured (padlock is placed on door). A subpoena is issued to get the materials. Now, it's just waiting...

Trump is losing favor in the GOP, with some Rs being so brave as to suggest alternatives in 2024. This goes on for as long as Trump can stand it, so here comes another tip...

Who breaks the story? Supposedly, the first person is a local journo (so we believe). The very next person to "confirm" the story is...DONALD TRUMP. That is when the story is broken wide open, and here were are, days later with the GOP fence sitters firmly back in Daddy Donald's lap.

Of course, there is nothing in the boxes. Well, at least Donny doesn't think so, but best to "plant" the idea of "planted" evidence. Just in case.

I don't think he thinks that far ahead. When an event happens it appears that he doesn't think, "How do I solve this?", he thinks, "How do I lie/spin it in a way that benefits me?".
