The U.S. generals and admirals who were summoned to listen to bizarre remarks from Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had nothing to say publicly in the aftermath of the event. That was to be expected: Given the circumstances, there wasn’t much they could say.

Some defense officials wondered why America's Top generals and admirals were summoned to listen to bizarre political speeches. Hegseth wanted to engage in a self-indulgent performance in which the former Fox News host suggested that he knew more than generals and admirals about transforming the armed forces, all while hoping to get some buy-in for his culture war crusade. Trump was half asleep leaning and stumbling to get a laugh at his sadistic 3rd grade humor.

According to Trump it was all about "The New NeoCon Department of War." A War on the Democrats, liberals and people who disagree with his policy of Authoritarian Rule.

I talked to some of my family in the military, the highest rank is lieutenant colonel, lowest is corporal but each one pretty much said the same thing: Hegseth is an ass and they have no idea what he's talking about when he talks lack of training, field exercises, etc. IT'S ALL THEY DO FOR ****'S SAKE!!!!!! The only part of the military that does more admin than combat...are the ones that are supposed to be doing admin AND ARE STILL DOING TRAINING!!!!!!!!!

Pretty much the consensus of my family int eh military is that Hegseth is on a revenge trip for never making it past the rank of Major while he was in the National Guard: largely due to his own behavior.

When I asked about Trump stating using cities as training for the military, all they said was, look at the faces of the commanders there and note that there was complete silence, that Trump had to try to coax them into applause...they believe they are not behind Trump and Hegseth. They said a handful of political officers like Hegseth might, but that would be it.

So, unless MAGA wants Trump and Hegseth to act like communists and purge the brass like Stalin and other communist leaders did, weakening leadership and degrading effectiveness as a result, perhaps Trump and Hegseth should stand down and STFU.
