I think the author has been smoking the good stuff but who knows?

It makes for good reading on how things could go downhill.

I'm not familiar with Carney but if he's like what is said here, things could go sideways in Canada

=======================================

"For those that think a conflict with Canada sounds ridiculous, I would remind them that times are changing rapidly. What you might think of as the status quo for geopolitics today is over. As globalism breaks apart we are entering the wild west, so saddle up and sack up. There’s no room for normalcy bias anymore.

I predict that within the next two years there will be serious talk of portions of Canada (like Alberta) seceding over to the US as Carney crushes citizens with carbon taxation, increased censorship, continued mass immigration and gun bans. The new Primer Minister will make every effort to make Canada as draconian as Europe.

More progressive parts of Canada will pursue EU membership. And, the idea of war will not sound so crazy anymore. In fact, I suspect it will be a common debate around the average American and Canadian dinner table.

Again, with a globalist ghoul like Mark Carney in control of Canada the chances for heightened tensions are immense and unfortunately a large enough percentage of Canadians are gullible enough to follow his lead thinking they can win. Make no mistake, a war with the globalists is brewing and Canada is currently leaning globalist. This might very well mean a conflagration between Americans and Canadians in the near future."

Fascinating how the US just can’t seem to figure out that repeatedly threatening to invade Canada is idiotic.

If there's a war between Canada and the US it will be over in 30 minutes.

I'm not familiar with Carney but if he's like what is said here, things could go sideways in Canada
Of course they could. No one thought they could go sideways in USA but as the world has seen, they sure as shit have.

No. Nor will it become the 51st state.

Uh, in the abstract....no it wouldn't.
The US would absolutely lose, in spectacular fashion, but it would certainly flail around hopelessly for years on end before facing up to that reality.

Why do you think it would acknowledge its defeat sooner?

What a bunch of hog wash.......for starters Carney has already eliminated tye consumer carbon tax and he and the Alberta PM are hav8ng positive discussions on matters important to Alberta.

ZeroHedge as a source.....

Overall, we rate ZeroHedge an extreme right-biased conspiracy website based on the promotion of false/misleading/debunked information.
Media Bias and Fact Check - Zero-Hedge

It takes living in the ZeroHedge bubble of political stupidity to consider actual war between Canada and the US as "a real possibility."

The only reason you came didn't fall in 30 minutes because of the US.
Ohfergawdsake.
And the only reason the USSR won WW2 was because of the US.
And the only reason Germany lost WW1 was because of the US.
Hey, 20 years, four Presidents, thousands of lives and trillions of dollars later and all those asshole in robes and long beards are still in charge in Afghanistan. All those guys in black pajamas won their own country from the US too, and they're doing pretty good with it. The US can't do invade and conquer any better than Russia.
So the country that stopped Russia from invading Ukraine was Canada?
What? What are you babbling about here?
Russia invaded Ukraine. And there might be Canadian Special Forces on the ground there. JTF2 were in Ukraine training Ukrainians when Russia invaded and awhile after the NYT reported they still are. The Canadian government, as always, "no comment"s questions about those guys.

So you think if Canada invaded the US it would be like Afghanistan?

Not surgically. But if push came to shove. Canada stands no chance. That would be like all of the country going to war with Texas.
What? What are you babbling about here?
Canada is in the process of being conquered right now.

You're just being silly. There is no way Canada could beat the US in a war in the abstract.

No way Vietnam or Afghanistan could either.

So you think if Canada invaded the US it would be like Afghanistan?
Wow. Those goalposts are on wheels.
Not surgically. But if push came to shove. Canada stands no chance. That would be like all of the country going to war with Texas.
No it wouldn't.
Anyone who invaded Canada would basically be declaring war on the world.
Canada is in the process of being conquered right now.
That's pretty silly.
What's in the process now is American influence in the world shrinking like a snowball on a hot sidewalk. And American society becoming something that would make your grandparents close their eyes and shake their heads.
Canada? We have plenty of everything, so much of everything that the idiot child you guys elected gets frothy at the mouth just thinking about it.

Someone has been smoking too much Canadian Bacon.

Storyline

The US economy is in a rut, and so is the president's approval rating. What is needed is a good war, but the Russians are not interested. Hey--how about that big polite country to the north, eh? Niagara Falls Sheriff Bud B. Boomer takes this all a bit too seriously, though. —Jon Reeves <jreeves@imdb.com>

Wow. Those goalposts are on wheels.
You brought it up.
No it wouldn't.
Anyone who invaded Canada would basically be declaring war on the world.
Well the United States because the only reason Canada exists is because the United States.
That's pretty silly.
Yeah it's silly of Canada to let that happen but here we are.
What's in the process now is American influence in the world shrinking like a snowball on a hot sidewalk.
That should scare Canada
And American society becoming something that would make your grandparents close their eyes and shake their heads.
I'm sure that means something.
Canada? We have plenty of everything, so much of everything that the idiot child you guys elected gets frothy at the mouth just thinking about it.
I'm your mind perhaps
