So far just a lot of allusions to "top secret" documents that really cover a very wide range of possible topics, some (vastly) more consequential than others.

If, after assessment, there are no documents that directly and incontrovertibly, implicate our national embarrassment in something truly nefarious, the maga crowd is going to have a field day with this.

I dearly hope Garland, Monaco and Wray didn't get played.

Merrick Garland has a long list of work including against the Unabomber, the 1996 Olympics bomber, and Timothy McVeigh. He knows what he's doing.

And don't expect an arrest warrant to come quickly. The FBI needs time to sift through all the evidence and make absolutely certain that it's time to prosecute trump.

recall that the FBI acquired cctv footage from Trump's place a while back BEFORE they went in to seize the documents etc.

who know what they saw?

Waiting for the smoking gun is easy. Either we will all be shown one - or we won't.

But wishing for the smoking gun is another story. You set yourself up for disappointment, and for no reason at all. None of this is in our hands, so even guessing about the impact of this search and seizure is a waste of energy.

There are dozens and dozens of political and legal pundits, and media talking heads, who are paid to speculate. If I were among that group, perhaps I'd bother.

The pure and simple fact that he had these documents in his house at all is a smoking gun.

But to be perfectly honest with Trump there are like 12 other smoking guns that are already out there

Merrick Garland isn't a 'useful idiot', like so many Trump supporters. And I highly doubt if Trump thinks he "played" anyone that matters, he is sorely mistaken, and will eventually learn the hard way, if indeed he attempted to "play" a game that involved illegally taking the People's document's to his private residence as though they were his own --- he will be quite fortunate to exit same "game" breaking even, as he's clearly in over his head this time, and there is no way in hell he's going to 'win' his "game."

Ask yourself this simple question.
Why would Trump keep anything illegal a Mar-a-Lago?
And if he had such important documents why did the FBI wait 18 months to try and get them back?
This is just another gotcha attempt by the left.
