They endorsed her for DA and senator...but not for the president. This is like Pravda not endorsing Putin.

When Southern California residents go to fill out their ballots in the Nov. 5 election, they might rely on the Los Angeles Times’ endorsements for guidance.
But if you’re looking for a recommendation for president from the Times, you’re out of luck.
Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the owner of the Times, will not allow the editorial board to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump, Semafor reports

I hope the folks who are so dead certain Harris is going to win start re-calibrating their expectations.

You missed this part of the article:
While the paper almost assuredly wouldn’t endorse Trump, the absence of an endorsement for Harris is notable, given her ties to the community and state.”

Other papers have endorsed Harris.

CA is where she worked as DA and Senator.

You want to pretend this means nothing...fine with me.

Endorsement: Joe Biden isn’t just ‘anybody but Trump.’ He’s the right fit for our polarized time

This year’s presidential election confronts voters with the most consequential choice they have faced in decades, and for many, their lifetimes: between a divisive, authoritarian-leaning incumbent and a seasoned patriot who brings not only five decades of experience, ability and commitment to American values, but also bold ideas at a time of national crisis. Nothing less than the health of our constitutional democracy is at stake.

So stark is the contrast between Donald Trump and Joe Biden that we feel compelled to announce our endorsement of the Democratic nominee and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, now, at what is traditionally the beginning of the fall campaign and before the candidates take part in televised debates. We will watch those exchanges with interest, but it’s inconceivable that anything that will be said on the debate stage will close the cavernous fitness gap between the two candidates.

I see it. Damn.

As a retired twenty-year Marine (1992-2012), with a Masters in Middle East History and American Foreign Policy, I absolutely hate that Americans rely on the frickin' news to design their uneducated opinions.

Trump is a a documented national traitor, documented criminal, and a documented sexual offender. Pick which matters to you most. No matter what, this absolute national embarrassment (and absolute sneaker-selling piece of shit) is unfit to be the President of the United States and the Commander-in-Chief of America's military. And **** all who think otherwise.

LA's Hispanics and the Blacks finally agree on something. Harris is bad!

The paper did chose to endorse Harris. The editorial staff had already decided. They were stopped however by the Billionaire owner of the paper. He wouldn't allow them to publish their choice.
Can you say oligarch.

yes, before the present owner bought the newspaper....but you perhaps should have looked into it before making your point.

Just looked this up, and it's true!

...But according to two people familiar with the situation, executive editor Terry Tang told editorial board staff earlier this month that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election this cycle, a decision that came from the paper’s owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a doctor who made his fortune in the healthcare industry.

Said owner also previously blocked a potential Elizabeth Warren endorsement in the 2020 Democratic primaries.

Do you work there?

No. But I can do online research and read. Talents that are sorely lacking in most on the right.
I believe you already knew what I wrote was true but didn't want the facts to get in the way of your political bias.

Yes, proof that Harris is a center-right candidate, and Trump is… is… 🤷‍♂️
