Okey-dokey. By now we've gotten the measure of @rational anarchist and why he/she/they is here.

I had hoped that this poster had something specific in mind re "leftists" who have shouted down a (non-leftist, I suppose) speaker, but that information doesn't seem to be available.

While frustrating - and in a away, ultimately fruitless - at least I now have a sense of who and what this poster is.

Saying something like " You are a dumb ass" would be name calling. Saying "You lack knowledge of this subject" IS NOT name calling.

I read in the federalist papers that this word was highly discussed for the sole reason that freedom of speech existed before the 1st A

And, no, once again, the MAGAized Republican Party is not "leftwing". (Its position re abortion shows you are wrong.)

You are correct about one thing: 60 years ago, the GOP was indeed very different. Its politicians were by and large decent people whose integrity and patriotism were not in question. Whose willingness to compromise to do what is in the best interests of the country and its people was in evidence.

Too bad that party disappeared.

we use a freedom scale and as you see the leftwing if authoritarian where the rightwing is levels of freedom,, the scale doesnt move, parties and people move

youre thinking about the european scale where libertarians and freedom dont even exist

I am sure its an oversite but what protesters were arrested here,, other than the jan 6 people that never entered the building or committed violence?? shit some that were arrested werent even in washington,,
