Just speculating. I have no idea nor does anyone else except that the killings appear to be politically motivated.

Since LE is now saying the murders of the two Democrats were targeted because of the manifesto that was found, why would the shooter kill one Democrat, Hortman, who voted along with the Republicans on not giving illegals free healthcare? (edited statement)
Could the murderer be an illegal alien or someone who is p/off that one of the Democrats didn't vote the Democrat party line? Read the clarification in the tweet below. The first part of the tweet is misworded/incorrect. As I wrote above, just speculating as to the motivations as to at least why one of the politicians was targeted.

It's very clearly politically motivated. It wasn't just one politician targeted so this wasn't some bizarre love triangle lover's quarrel.

Hoffman didn't vote for the bill.

They did apparently find a manifesto in the car of the shooter that lists targets. Hopefully they will make the shooter's motives clear with public release of documents.

Absolutely unacceptable. When they catch this psychopath, he deserves the highest level of capital punishment. Zero tolerance for violence against any elected officials.

The kidnapping plot against Gretchen Whitmer,
The storming of the Capitol (a police officer died—forgotten by everyone in the Trump camp...),
Violence training by Proud Boys and Oath Keepers leaders ahead of January 6,
Mail bombs sent to Democrats and the media (2018),
FBI agent shot at FBI office (2022),
Pittsburgh synagogue attack (2018) — 11 dead,
Paul Pelosi attacked in his home (2022),
...and so on.


Not to mention the daily encouragement of violence that pours from the mouth of your Führer. There has been political violence from the left in the US, but it is much much less common than violence from far-right or Trump-affiliated groups in recent years.
