[W: #795] At least three people have been shot at the homes of Minnesota Democrats in overnight attacks by a gunman posing as cop

There can be victims and victims. Why are you intent on victimizing Republicans and Trump supporters with that brush, and using that hoary "let's not forget the real victims" trope?

🤣

It never fails to amaze me the extent that MAGAs - for the people who claim be all about masculinity - are such whiny little bitches, begging to be "victimized."

You have not been victimized. Time to man up and stop whining.

There you go. Trot out the stereotypes and mow them down! Make sure you leave yourself some plausible deniability when you imply someone is a "whiny little bitch". :ROFLMAO:

Why should I be painted with that brush?

Who was going around painting you, Fletch? Are you averring that you do not want Democratic politicians and Democratic voters and abortion doctors targeted for violence up to and including assassination? Because if the shoe does not fit, you do not have to wear it.

So it was bigotry to say that Nazis were bad people? How about the Chinese communist party?
If you're going to just jump to an oversimplification to try to make your point, that's not really an argument, it's a fallacy.

You're reading it wrong.

It's an accusation.

A right-wing Evangelical Christian Trump-supporter attempted to murder multiple Democratic state legislators, succeeding in murdering the Minnesota Speaker of the House of Representatives, Melissa Hortmann along with her husband.

But we must never forget who the real victims were: Republicans and Trump supporters who fear that they will be painted with the same broad brush as the shooter.
This is a straw man. Just because it's wrong to paint everyone in a certain category with a broad brush doesn't mean they're suffering more than murder victims.

And just because that's true doesn't mean that the former aren't wronged by people who make fallacious foolish arguments.

Sure. Explain the difference.

Well, it's like the difference between using a black murderer to paint all black people as bad people; as opposed to using a black murderer to paint murderers as bad people.

Do you think I'm too sensitive to this, having been told so many times that I- and all guns owners- are to blame for school shootings, mass shootings, and run of the mill murders committed with firearms?

I'm sorry, who are you accusing of what?

Are you accusing Republicans of being Nazis or the CCP? I mean, I'm kind of lost. Seriously. Not a joke. Come on, man.

That's what happens when you back a president that deliberately provokes and encourages his most deranged fans.

That CEO was a murderer! Shooting him in the back was nearly self defense!"

Yeah, I remember when Trump said that. /s

Let's just say if they were acting like Nazis, what would they do differently?

Well, they might try to enact a police state using a spurious national emergency as a pretext.

They might start putting those they deem undesirable in extrajudicial detention facilities.

They might make a great show of arresting political opponents on trumped up charges.

They would probably joke about their political opponents being murdered.

Thankfully they have not yet gone that far. I’m sure if they did, principled conservatives and libertarians would rise up to fight government tyranny before we on the left would be able to put our boots on. They are the ones best prepared to do so, after all. They certainly wouldn’t stand by smiling and cheering while a tyrant strips people they hate of their rights. That would go against their principles or something.

On the basis that it's a childish, fallacious, leading question, have you stopped beating your wife by the way?

If you see me raising my fist to my bruised wife, it is a pretty valid question. Childish as it may be.

When Republicans like Mike Lee are joking about Democratic politicians being murdered, they and their voters who cheer it should be made the subjects of hatred, scorn and obloquy of their peers.
