To be honest, I can easily envision a scenario where Trump is bitching about the Iraq war saying "They get us into these wars that win nothing, but the dead and injured are the losers."
Easy to make that into something it's not.

Both Jeffrey Goldberg and Jennifer Griffin made their careers with reporting that relied heavily on Pentagon sources. Griffin referenced "former senior administration officials" as her sources. My bet is General John Kelly. He has probably decided Trump should not be the President and he's doing what he can to make sure Trump is not re-elected.

It’s not a conspiracy theory when we have public statements and actions proving Trump has disdain for *anyone* who endeavors in any scenario that doesn’t end in personal profit. HE’s made public ****ty comments about those serving before, and he’s lied to our troops, used them as mercenaries - proudly declaring he sent our men and women to Saudi Arabia because they pay cash - and downplayed injuries to them because he thinks projecting being a tough guy makes him one of them.

It’s so funny watching you guys tell us for 4 years that you know he ain’t no saint, and we dont’ need to be his friend, and yada yada yada and then you break out into vapors at someone suggesting a ****ty thing he’s said is true.

Again they are anonymous. Woodward and Bernstein wrote 200 stories on Watergate using mostly anonymous sources

So Source A,B,C,D went to Atlantic, and Atlantic ran with it, so Fox said, let's confirm this, and they called Sources A,B,C,D and who clearly confirmed their own story...and Fox confirmed it now....

See how that might be a bit of a problem?
