[W:7068] Ron DeSantis for President 2024

DeSantis is garbage, but still a better choice than Trump. That 82 year old man will still wipe the floor with both of them. Just shows how big of losers the right has become in this country.
The book burner. It's just silly to consider him presidential material

Too bad you don't like a strong Conservative leader like DeSantis.
You would prefer a creaky old man of 82 who has trouble remembering where he is. And if you don't like him, then you might prefer an incompetent VP with a 500-word vocabulary.

Comparing DeSantis to Hitler. How clever. Never been done before.
Try Stalin or Mao Tse Tung. Get some variety in your comparisons to today's GOP bench.
I don't know about you, but in my world, Democracy works for everyone. In those worlds that you live in, where Hitler, Putin, Xi, Maduro, Stalin, Trump, etc, were STRONG leaders, most of the citizens suffered greatly. Evidently, you like power over justice. You like to be in control.

That top 58 percent apparently desires criminality in government. Un-American! Law and order, remember?
No. I do not "remember" any such thing.

But hey...you are welcome to your opinion just like that 58% is welcome to theirs...and 36% less Republicans are welcome to their opinion of DeSantis.

I think RDS should get out of politics and go enjoy life. Who would want to be POTUS today? Only an idiot or someone completely brain dead. That pretty much explains Trump and Biden. The political climate has become so toxic and corrupt that it is rather senseless to waste a life by being in politics. I think the military should just do a coup and install Hillary Clinton as the Queen of America and she can rule as she sees fit. Dissolve congress, cancel the constitution and just let Hillary just run the show with a few lieutenants. What could go wrong? She's an honest democrat, loves the middle class, isn't corrupt and most importantly isn't Trump.

Too bad you don't understand that to deal with strong, authoritarian leaders today, we need a strong leader who is Reagan tough and not 80 years old who falls up stairs.
Trump is too erratic but DeSantis is just right.

Do you often indulge in political fantasies where Hillary is crowned queen of the country? Perhaps you can freelance for some of those shows that need creative script writers right now during the writers strike.

?
You don't remember Trump saying he was the law and order president? I've lost count of his potential legal peril in multiple cases.

He is a law and order President, but we can't say the same about all the people who are using corrupt lawfare against him. If they weren't around, he wouldn't be in any legal peril.

Evidence moving forward in court ultimately to a jury for deliberation. That's how it has worked in this country for centuries. To think an entire judicial system could be corrupted to the point one side could pull off what you say, in a country so evenly divided, is the pinnacle of delusional fantasy.

Come on Jay, what could go wrong with Queen Hillary?

He has to go thru Trump

Not a chance DeDouche will rescue the GOP 2024

Better luck in 2028
We shall see. America elected a sexual predator in 2016, largely because of (so-called) Christians. Will they look the other way again in 2024 and sell out God for the orange haired sociopath?

Yes precisely. We have to destroy Ron DeSantis and start anew with someone better.
And liberals /libertarians are trying their best to destroy Ron DeSantis. Don't cha just hate it that he's squeeky clean? Perhaps pulling up dirt on a DeSantis neighbor's 2nd cousin's son's best friend is in the works? The desparate go to any lengths.

He did it to himself. That anti woke shit/culture war crap just isn't as popular as you think

But they can't really answer how to prevent it, given the situations that led to it. Just as we didn't prevent the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Actually the MIddle East was quite peaceful when the Sha of Iran was in power. The leaders of other ME countries were friends with him, and he was a very strong US ally. And then, Jimmy Carter did his thing.

It’s actually shocking how dirty he is, as proven in this thread. Indeed, you’ve done a masterful job of highlighting all the reasons why America should avoid Ron DeSantis. I have to admit that I’m impressed. With this thread you have done more to actively damage DeSantis’s hopes than perhaps any other poster on this site. It’s sobering to think on how much further his campaign may have progressed had you never attempted to shill for him in the first place.

Anyhow, since you’re doing such a great job, please post many more posts about Ron DeSantis.

I like RDS too.
Now that the FL legislative session is over, we'll see how soon he enters the race. Once that happens, we'll fairly quickly get a pretty good clue of how he'll poll once he's officially in the race.
I'm quite curious to see how it goes when RDS officially enters. For now, his poll numbers against Trump have been down.
I'd much prefer DeSantis to Trump as a nominee, but Trump will absolutely get my voter over Biden, if Trump is the nominee. Trump is a handful but IMO he is a very strong, effective and good president (good for the citizens and country he represents) - if you ignore his off-putting personality. On individual issues, a Trump presidency makes the U.S. strong, prosperous and safe.
The recent talk of DeSantis as a potential Trump VP choice also interests me. I certainly don't hate that idea of a pairing. Both men are hardworking go getters, strong and effective. Neither is a wimp, indecisive, always a step behind, lazy, afraid, or weak.

The fact that all of this corrupt lawfare nonsense is being attempted shows conclusively that the Trump haters abide by their motto: The ends justify any means...no matter how unethical, immoral or illegal.

I like much of what you say. But RDS as Trump's running mate?
That's a stretch. And, of course, choosing Trump over Biden is a no-brainer.
The weeks ahead will tell the tale about the future GOP candidates.

The Iranians didn't vote for the Shah. He came to power through ****ery by us and the British.
