Look, Tom, I and we are well aware that the left will demonize any person who "fights" them, and (like Trump) I don't mean an actual fight but politically. If you name any person in politics that calls out the Democrats for who and what they are, that person will be denigrated and demonized. This is a tried and true tactic used by the left for decades now. The left sees DeSantis as a major threat so the demonization has started in earnest, and they hate him because Florida is successful and prosperous and people are moving out of Demoract areas to Florida so fast that I think Florida may start sinking into the ocean from the sheer weight.
I LOVE Matt Gaetz because the director for CNN that said he was successful in using FEAR to remove Trump also went after Gaetz and he fought back against the lies and won. I love his comment that the protesters against abortion are fat and could never get a date so why would they be worried about abortion? A female reporter thought she'd pose a "gotcha" question and asked "Don't you think that 'some' people will be offended when you say the protesters look like "thumbs"? His response is a classic.
"Let them be offended"

He’s not “fighting” anything. (It’s telling that you admit that by putting his “Fighting” in parenthesis).
