I'm not sure where to post this. It's just so bizarre...

"According to Vice News, the men livestreamed the video onto blockchain streaming site DLive under the name CultureWarCrimnal.

It is not clear who the men are. The mayor of Atascadero told Vice that they were from out of town and had driven five hours to knock down the monolith.

In it, one man says: "Christ is king in this country. We don't want illegal aliens from Mexico or outer space. So let's tear this b---- down."

imma gonna post some really funny tweets and responses...

" Given the metal supports left over from the monolith in the photos I'm guessing the aliens bought their materials at Lowe's? "

" 36" pre-cut #5 bar is a commonly known intergalactic reinforcing element, as is Lowe's. "

" A brown skinned victim. Again. "

" 'America First'... Christ second... is not going to play well at the Pearly Gates... "

" Bro it's probably an ad campaign, they're using you "

" Yo they knocked down a metal thing in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure Jesus is super proud. Probably about to tell us the McRib is back or something. "

Everybody was having fun with these monuments. They were a mysterious and light-hearted relief from the pounding gloom of COVID. What's wrong with those conservative Christians that they have to tear apart something that is giving pleasure and replace it with their religious symbol making uncalled for accusation about the citizenship and motives of the original constructors.

We need a lot more fun and a lot less religion flung at us.

Because in the movie 2001 - A Space Odyssey, the monolith in the movie was meant to be god

I guess those extreme Christians don't like that.
